tops-- $60

sweaters & cardigans--$60

pants --$75 (it used to be $30 until I discovered Express Correspondents)

shoes (including boots)--$99

bags (I am not really into them)-- $35

jeans -- $45  (although I did by a pair of Pink A Pockets for $88 which I have never worn )

jacket/coat --$99

Now, this is not to say I wouldn't occasionally splurge, but 90% of the time, the above are my limits.

I am totally different than yall it may because I'm a college student but hers my list.

shoes- the most is probably $100 unless I reallly like them

pants- the most probably $50 I've bought good quality pants for $25-$30 and I've had them for years.

Jeans- the most is probably $40 they fit well though don't by designer jeans but got two pair of authenic sevens for $30 homecoming week from a vendor.

shirts- the most is probably $40 spent $40 on a shirt from Express and it fell apart when i washed. I was so mad and couldn't even return it.

jackets- $150 only if it's leather

skirts- $30

bags- $40 I'm not in to designer bags doesn't matter to me as long as they look good and last.

my number is around $250, I feel guilt going over that unless it's for a bag or a coat.

And it would be very unlikely for me to spend over $125 on any top.

My max for jeans is currently $200, that sounds so funny to say.  I wonder what I would have said about that when I was wearing boot cut Calvin Kleins (I believe they were around $60 back then) in 1996?

mine depends on what i have in the bank.

im totally random, i won't spend much on earrings,  because i lose them, but i have a pr. of 190.00 bronze earrings that i had to have.

bags, about 400.00 then i really have to think about it.  but i have a 950 MJ bag.

jeans, i'll spend a ton on them.  range goes between gap to true religion, habitual and others at 190 or close to that.

shoes, 100 before i start thinking, but i have a few pr. of 300 shoes.

pants, 100, i don't think i've gone over that.  most store pants fit me without alterations so i don't have any issues finding them.

shirts, 100 same explanation as pants.

i will also spend on an occasion dress.  i have 3 1000+ dresses. the past few years i have been buying most at BCBG, and i think they are usually under 500 so i get irked that i have the expensive ones.

i'm all over the place i guess.

i love this poll!  i've never really thought about it before, but i think i am more of a "no more than 2 digits" girl...

shoes: 60

boots: 100 (if they fit my scrawny calves)

pants: 60

jeans: used to be 150-200 but lately i've been able to find all the ones i want at sample sales, so 100

panties: 10

bras: 30

shirts: 40 (60 if it's a "nice" top)

sweaters: 30 (50 for cardigans, wraps, etc.)

jackets: rare purchases for this cali girl, probably 100

accessories (earings, necklaces, bracelets): 10

bags: 40 (LUCKILY i am just a jean queen, not into bags much at all!)

hair: 100 (tee hee, sorry, i was going toe to head!)

fun poll...it is interesting how people will spend different amounts for different items.  some are into handbags, some shoes, etc.

Shoes and boots:  I usually buy one pair of boots around $300 each fall.  Other than that, my shoes are usually less than $80.

Pants and jeans:  I'm more of a skirt girl, so I tend to spend less on pants and jeans, about $30 for pants and maybe $60 for jeans.

Skirts:  I wear my skirts to death, so I have no problem spending $150 on skirt that will get a lot of wear.

Shirts:  Usually less than $50.  I have a one or two that were closer to $120.  I fell in love worried that they would sell out before they were marked down.

Sweaters:  Again, I buy maybe one sweater over $100/year.  The rest I bought on sale for probably around $30.

bags:  I'm not really into bags.  I think all my bags were either gifts or vintage/thrift store purchases of less than $40.

This is fun!  It's really intersting to see where everyone's 'weak spots' are !  For me, my 'normal max' is the most I would pay if I was just randomly shopping and saw something I liked.  The higher max is the most I would pay if it was a pre-planned, stalking-it-for-months kind of purchase.

Shoes/Boots:  Normal max is $30 (shoes) and $50 (boots).  If I really loved something, I would go maybe as high as $150 for either.

Pants/Jeans:  Normal max is around $35.  I something fit reaaaaally well, I would spend up to $65.

Skirts:  I'm not a huge skirt person, so normal max is around $15.  If I found something fabulous, I would spend up to $50.

Shirts/tops:  Normal max is about $40.  For something fabulous, maybe $60.

Sweaters:  Normal max is about $30.  For a high quality sweater, I'd pay up to $60.

Jackets/Coats:  Normal max is around $50.  I'd go to about $150 for an investment-type item.

Accessories:  Max is about $10 - I don't think I could ever drop much cash on accessories!

Bags:  Normal max is about $20.  For a nice, high quality bag made of real leather I'd go up to $250 or so.

Tops: $100 ( i did buy one that was $120 but returned it because of guilt. I do have a couple that are more expensive but they were gifts for christmas from my hubby).

Skirts: $120  - I love skirts and wear them to death. This is usually for a pretty sweet skirt though. I also have some skirts that i paid $5 for at thrift stores and love them just as much.

Pants: $150 - I've never paid this much but i would for a pair that is good quality and fits great

jeans - $150 - This is so stupid. I cannot believe we pay this much for Jeans

Purses - $50 or less - Not at all into designer purses

Shoes - $150

Coats/boots/jackets - I dont own any boots. I love them but my calves are so small that they never fit me and living in So. Florida it's not worth buying them. Pretty much the same for coats. Jackets - I would pay up to $200 for a light weight good quality jacket

Jewelry - $60 for earrings and $150 for necklaces

Me three!!  I live for sales, plus my clothes are pretty classic, so I can wear them over and over and stock up during sales for the next year.

Shirts: The most I paid was $80, and that was the clearance price.

Jeans:I don't think I've paid full price for any of my jeans. I know that all of them were under $100. I've usually been lucky to use discounts and coupons. Also, I found a secret way to get designer jeans for under $75.

Pants:up to $130

Bags:The max I've spent on a bag in the past was $500 and that was only because I was in love with it.

Shoes:up to $150

Coats/Jackets:up to $300

Sweaters: up to $120
