Hey LMonet I was reminded by Ranchera20's, where do you live post that you moved a couple of months ago.  How have you adjusted to Denver living? I think I remember you saying that you weren't sure if you wanted to do the work or school thing? Just wanted to check in and see how the livin' was

Awwww, you're so sweet to think of me !

I Denver!  We're originally from Portland, and I really feel like Denver is very similar to Portland lifestyle-wise, just minus the rain and the ocean!  We'll want to go back eventually, but for now I am fine as can be staying here.  We're even buying a house next summer right after the wedding .  I can't wait to fix it up!

As of yet there isn't really much news on the school/work front.  And since I'm one of those people who could literally never work again a day in their life and be happy, I predict progress will be slow !  I've applied for a few random things and I've been researching some possible careers, but so far I'm just enjoying some time off after my two years working in hell, er, I mean Spokane.

How is school going for you?  How long do you have left?

Glad to hear you like Denver so much You sound so much like me.....I could not work again and be content, (oh wait, I don't work)

School is going ok.  I just started the new semester last Monday.  Since I'm relying on a community college right now....I'm not sure how much longer it's going to take me to complete their certificate program.  They keep cancelling classes because of the funding so the classes that aren't offered this semester might come around next semester.  It's supposed to be an 18 month certification program so then you can work for 5 years and  apply for the state exam to become licensed.  However, there are classes such as history of furniture and lighting design that are only offered once every like 3 semesters.  That makes it kind of hard.  There's also a chance that I may have to go to the neighboring town of Modesto to take these classes.   Some of the girls in the program are really snotty too.

I am proud to say that last semester's design project went so well that the teacher offered to help me get a job making design boards for a window treatment design person.  I might take her up on that offer, depending on how it works with my school schedule.
