I have to do a mandatory (and boring) 16-hour training course at my school before the end of the semester. I have two choices for the class:
Choice #1: 4 hours after school (3:30-7:30) for four consecutive Thursdays in September. (Big downside: I'll miss the first 4 episodes of The OC. Lame, I know.)
Choice #2: weekend class in December; 6 hours after school on a Friday (3:30-9:30) and then 10 hours on Saturday (7-6 with a lunch break). (Big downside: it's the last weekend before finals & I'll have a lot of grading to do.)
I can't decide which would be worse. I am registered for the September class now, but now the December class is starting to look better (though this might be because it's in December.) Has anyone done anything like this before? Is it better to just get it over with or do a little at a time? TIA

I vote Thursday. You can record The OC. I used to have to record The Apprentice when I worked on Thursday nights. But I would much rather record a show than have my weekend sucked away. Besides, the weekend class is in December and you'll have holiday events to attend. Hands down, Thursday.
TiVO the OC...the last thing you'll want to do on a Friday afternoon after a long week is sit through a 6 hour class and ruin a Saturday. Your whole weekend will be shot just when you'll really need a weekend to relax and catch up on stuff.
Thursdays in September, you don't want to go to class on the weekends and in December no less, too many holiday events and fun things to do then. Plus you'll get it out of the way.
Thursdays- get it out of the way. When does the OC start, btw? Is it definitely September? Sometimes they don't start it til October. ETA: ok, i see it starts Sept. 8! That's sooo soon! AHH, I'm not ready!!
you guys are right! I am just SO tired after work, but I do think the weekend would be worse. I don't have a VCR or Tivo, so I might have to have my sister tape it & see it at her house. Thank you!
