i'm ambivalent... i've always felt that anthro was overpriced (ever since high school when i would get there catalogue in the mail), and even more so now that there's proof (those kenzie wedges).
also i tend to have mixed feelings about stores that are part of a high/low price trifecta (gap/br/old navy, arden b./wetseal, antrho/urbn). imo a lot of the stores don't do enough to really differentiate b/t the various branches (br maybe being the only exception) so i can't justify paying more for essentially the same thing. a lot of the stuff from anthro just reminds me of stuff from urbn but at higher prices and styled differently.
and for the most part, while i love seeing fellw st'ers in anthro stuff (it always looks so great on them) most of it doesn't really mesh well with my day to day style. so i'm left admiring from afar instead of actually purchasing stuff -- though i will say, i can't walk by an anthro store without going in.
I love how they are always rearranging the merchandise and they do seem to turn the clothes quickly-it seems like they get new merchandise every couple of months and items go on sale quickly-it's like a treasure hunt! I have never paid full price at Anthro-it's too expensive and it will be on sale quickly enough.
I pretty much agree with everything that's already been said. The materials often look and feel flimsy, even cheap and some of the colors do look kind of faded and muddy.
But oh, how I love their sale racks with the $20 or $30 price tags! And I know I'll buy the "tartan jig" skirt in a heartbeat if I can get it for, say, $60...
