So I bought the Speedy 30 last night! Anyways, I guess I was expecting more as far as being able to tell the authenticity. No where on the inside does it say LV except for like the hardware, but there is a number embossed on the handle base under the pocket. Is that how you tell it's real? There isn't like an authenticity card you get with some other brands.
Also, I collect scarves. I have an awesome collection of Hermes and Pucci scarves and would love to tie it on my bag. The only problem is I feel like it looks stupid the way I tried to tie them on. Does anyone put scarves on their LV? If so, any suggestions on how to tie?
TIA!

i dont have an LV (too poor), but i have looped scarves before and what id o is to kind of fold it in half then take the unlooped end and pull it through the loop...jeez does that make sense? hahaha...
Are you concerned that yours might not be real, or just how you can tell a fake from a real one?
With my LV's that I purchased at their store, I honestly don't even remember if their was a card or not. I can tell by someone else's bag by the handles and the inside. The handles will get this beautiful camel brown after the first year, fakes will not change. It is a great investment, I have one that is 10 years old and it still looks fabulous.
I believe mine came with a card but I purchased it from the LV store. If you bought it at a major department store or teh LV store it should be authentic. Where did you buy it at?

If you bought it at the LV store, then you're fine.
P.S. I live in Raleigh and I loooooooooooooove going to your mall in Charlotte. Your mall is so much better than ours here! Good to know there's another North Carolinian on ST!

Aww I'm not from NC! I currently live in SC, grew up mostly in AL. I had training in Charlotte yesterday and every opportunity I get to shop at South Park I do! I'm so glad they're adding Neimans, but it still will be awhile (fall '06). Crabtree isn't any good?

That's cool you grew up in AL! I spent a TON of time there as a kid since my grandparents lived in Montgomery. South Park is a great mall, but I feel like a lot of people I see there are really snobby (or maybe I'm just being judgmental, I don't know. ) But that LV store is beautiful! Crabtree is alright, but there is no Anthropologie, no Nordstrom, no LV. Southpoint in Durham has the closest Nordstrom and is a really pretty mall and Triangle Town Center in Raleigh has a Saks Fifth Avenue, so you should check those out if you're ever in the Raleigh area!
Awww my now-deceased granddad used to work at Wachovia across from South Park. Whenever my family made the trip to North Carolina (8 hours), he would take us out to breakfast at a diner with numbers in the name (like 99 place or something) near his bank, show us off at the office, and then give us money to go shopping at South Park mall while he was at work. oh memories
I bought mine from Saks and I think after a month or two my strap began to darken.Once you strat to carry yours you will be able to spot a fake 5 miles away.
