My boyfriend shares two fashion obsessions with me...designer jeans and Uggs (when they weren't passe). That's about it.
His old shirts are wearing out and we're going shopping next weekend to get some new ones for him. Well...he likes to wear these kinds of shirts most of them time. He works in a casual office so that's not an issue. But where would I get these types of shirts while still being 'young' and 'hip' without him looking like a frat boy? He's 32 (looks 25 though), so he's a bit old to be dressing like a teenager.
Are there any other styles that are as tailored without being stuffy? He won't wear t-shirts on their own since he feels they're too casual.
my BF shares the same loves... except for the uggs- he likes his pumas! and designer sunglasses... but i digress...
we find a lot of nice short sleeve button downs at Express for Men. I get them on the sale rack for about $10-15 and he likes the "off" colors that most men don't pick up like orange and green... so we are lucky in that respect.
another place we get great button downs is TJ Maxx or Marshalls. Super easy to find men's stuff there...
as for graphic tees- his favorite place is Ruehl (so you may want to check there for him when you are back in NY next) and Urban Outfitters.
He also likes the Penguin shirts for under or over button downs with a blazer and his designer jeans! which i think is a super cool look on him...
hth!
edit: just wanted you to know that my BF is 30... so i understand the "not looking like a teenager thing"
Well, I buy most of my honey's shirts from Ross or Burlington Coat Factory, some from Sheplers or some other men's store in Highland Mall (can't remember (LOL); he's really into solid colors, he likes some prints, but HATES advertising (i.e. Nike). LOL He's weird like that, but heck, I'm the same way. LOL He's 41 (to my 33 soon to be 34), and really wants to dress his age, not too young at all.......
