Do you have pool rules or rules about friends coming over to use the pool?
We haven't even taken possession of our new house yet and already "friends" are inviting themselves over for hot tub parties. My brother's friend said to me on Sunday "Do you need help moving?"
Me: "No we are getting movers but thanks"
Him: "I didn't really want to help but I want to use the hot tub so I felt like I should offer"
This makes me think I need to set boundries straight away.
I would just tell people that there will not be any hot tub parties and such due to liability. And then I would jokingly say that this is your home that they are talking about not a resort.

haha. he should have kept that second thought to himself.
i don't have a pool, but maybe because its a new thing, they're all excited to use it? When my friend first got kayaks, a bunch of us were always bothering her to go out on them, but its simmered down some. Maybe you could throw a small little housewarming party or invite them over every once in a while, so they can come to your hot tub but don't feel like they can invite themselves over. It would suck to feel like they are only coming over for the hot tub.
