I saw that you had your tonsils out in July...I just had mine out on Friday, so I was hoping to see how it went. Right now, I'm still in a lot of pain, sleeping has been really hard, and even just soft ice cream hurts to eat! I'm hoping it will get better, but my doctor's assistant just called and said it will be at least 2 weeks where I'm going to be in pain. That just seems like such a long time, I'm hoping it's not that bad!
Also, is there anything you can recommend? Right now, I'm just having lots of gatorade and pudding/ice cream when i can tolerate it. It's so hard though because the pain meds make me nauseaus, yet I can't eat anything. Anyway, any suggestions would be very much appreciated! Especially when it comes to sleeping, so far, I've just been sleeping sitting up on the couch for a few hours at a time, but it's so brutal when I wake up, I would rather just not sleep at all!
Well I had my tonsils taken out in 7th grade and, from what I hear it gets worst the older you are. But, I do remember being miserable for about the 1st 4 days, I did however only miss school for about a week. But, I could hardly talk and, I didn't eat much at all which made me loose quite a bit of weight. But, in a couple days you should hopeflly be feelin better. I ate pudding when I could because it was easy to get down but, make sure you keep drinking fluids even if you dont feel like it because you don't want to get dehydrated HTH
