Just curious...What was your best summer purchase? Was it something you had been eyeing for awhile, or was it something you picked up on a whim?
My two best summer purchases this year were both from Target: a brown tiered cotton skirt ($13) and silver ballet flats ($12). They're both super comfy and I wear both of them ALL the time (but not together).
Two blazers--total impulse buy. I was going through the Savvy dept of Nordstrom on my way to the ladies room and a display caught my eye. I ended up buying two Tom K Nguyen stretch cotton jackets--one in a green, (which I posted) the other a light amethyst purple. I wear them both all the time. I took the purple one on my vacation, will be taking it on more trips soon. I bought them last January for a total of $487. One of my best impulse buys.
Oh, and they are cold-water wash--and they turn out great. I just wish Nordstrom or another store would get another group in from this designer.
Believe it or not both of mine were from The Gap. I hadn't bought anything from there in years but early this summer I bought a pair of British khaki Bermudas and a batik print sundress, both of which I wear all the time.
My favorite has to be my Dr. Scholl's brown leather sandals with the crystal buckle. So comfy, so cute, and I have worn them many times.
I also like my white leather Coach swing pack. I have used it plenty of times too. I like how I can wear it shopping hands free. Plus it's not too big, and fits everything I usually take with me.
In April, a pair of heels from...of all brands, Nina. (I don't usually wear their shoes). These are wood- botomed sandals with a bit of platform, about a 4" heel, and some studding on the sides of the front.
Re-reading my description makes them sound hideous, but trust me...they rock. I have worn them with pants & jeans all summer long (when it's cool enough). They were on sale for about $45.
The other is a $10 wood bead necklace from Claire's. It's long enough that I can triple-wrap it (ala FP), and I've worn it to death this summer.

i bought a pair of Charles by Charles David gold wedges for $110 from Nordstroms in early May and have worn them CONSTANTLY this summer! i surprised myself on how much i wear these wedges! them!
just a thin cotton scoop-neck t from the Gap. Its long but has cap sleeves and is a lovely coral color, the cotton is so soft I feel like I've worn it 1000 times. I almost returned it until my mom convinced me that it looked good (I thought it was too baggy but it shrunk to a perfect fit in the wash) now I wear it all the time.
boring things, my apple green havaianas- wear them every day at some point and just bought a replacement pair, my old navy white beater, my tano bag also because I've been using it everyday
i guess i just wasn't feeling the spring clothes as much as i was feeling the spring accessories!
i'm making up for it with fall clothes though!

A brown a-line skirt made of sweatshirt material - I wore it non-stop (50$ at an indie designer event). A vintage-inspired necklace with big round cream beads (10$ at TJ max). Obviously I don't like spring/summer styles as much as I love fall!
