Now I'm seriously leaning towards this one over the other two.  If anyone needs to talk be in or out of it, please do so!

It looks bridal to me in the pictured color. I see that there are other colors available and that there are "swatch" images, but it makes me nervous that you can't see an actual picture of the dress in the different colors

To me it looks bridal collection...I'd rather go with either orange or that black assymetrical bow.

All your choices seem sooo different from one another, it is hard to judge. What look are you going for? What is the actual event? What works well for your body? The lace versus orange w belts versus asymmetric black... I am just confused at this point!

Thanks, girls.  I guess I don't have a certain look I just like those dresses, but for different reasons.  I love vintage and classic with an edge (the first two) but I think this one is feminine and pretty yet sexy.  I can't really explain why I like each one and why they are all so different.  I think that all three of them would flatter my figure - I tried to eliminate those that I thought would not.

The event is the Marine Corp Mall - it's a formal event and most people wear long gowns.  Does that help?

Kelly - yeah I know I agree about that.  It's definitely a gamble.  Maybe the orange or black dress is safer (they're cheaper too).

Would love any further thoughts!

I think this dress is gorgeous! however depending on your skin tone it definitely has to be in a different color!

I think this could be very pretty in a vintagy way, alb. however I think my vote goes to the black one even if you only wear it once...

thanks, D.  I finally was able to do an online chat with the salesperson at that site and a couple of things bother me.  First, he said it takes 2-3 weeks to recieve it and I need it in exactly 3 weeks (and I live overseas, so the shipping takes longer than normal).  Second, you can only return it if they send you the wrong size or color, or for "quality issues" but not simply because you don't like it or it doesn't look good.

I might have to go with a safer option.

yeah - I could see some potential quality issues with  the black dress -- just seemed like the hem didn't lay right, but no one would really be looking at that anyway with the neckline.

GORGEOUS!  I like this one the best and think this and your first choice are most appropriate for the event.

Good to know about that site, I was actually considering it for an upcoming event.  Nevermind!

Thank you!  Yeah I think the site is definitely a gamble but my friend ordered her dress from there (going to same event) so I am interested to hear about her experience and see the dress.  If she has a good experience, I may give it a try.  If you want, I can report back her results.  Also, the reviews on some of the dresses are quite good.  I'd be more hesitant to get one with no reviews though.

This dress is gorgeous and would look so great on you!!!!  Your hair and coloring would be perfect!

Too bad it didn't work out.  If you find out your friend had a good experience, you should try it for the next event.

Definitely let us know what your friend says!

I love that dress!  I think it'll look amazing on you.  What I like best about it is that it has some texture to it, which makes it a little more special than a standard LBD.

Kari, D, and Boots - thanks for the encouragement!  I feel a lot better about it now.  Boots - I totally agree with you about the texture thing - it's tiny little stripes instead of a solid black.  Here's hoping it works out.  I may be asking you guys to help me decide. :)

Kari - I will def. report back about the site - lightinthebox.com.
