Technically, this is a wedding related question but I think it'll get more traffic here.  I'm 95% sure I'm going to get this dress:

as I've found it online for $1,045!  The sash is olive green velvet.  I've been debating about jewelry and shoes and can't decide if I want to use green in my accessories or if I should stay 'bridal'.  I need earrings , a brooch for my bustle, and shoes.  I would prefer silver to gold on the jewelry.  Any suggestions?  I don't want it to be boring but I don't want to take the green too far either ...

TIA!

Here are some ideas:

I know you said silver rather than gold, but these are so pretty (and maybe you could get them custom made in silver??).

sorry, I keep finding gold...but I think they do custom orders here, too.

Sorry for the huge pics.

I know this isn't much help, but here is my advice:

I think you should keep your jewelry very simple b/c I wouldn't want to draw attention away from the lace on your dress (which I love btw).  I would wear simple drop earrings like these:

And perhaps a diamond solitaire necklace ( I love diamonds and silver/white gold).  I would stay away from green jewelry and leave the green accents to the bridesmaids and your bouquet.  I think it would be very pretty to have some dark leafy ferns or pine (if fall/winter wedding) in your bouquet to play up the green on your dress.

Here are some shoes, I think green accented jewelry would be okay, I really like the first ones nylabelle posted. Here is a pair too

Just stay subtle and let the dress be the star. You look gorgeous in it!

What do you think of these shoes to go with?  Anything embellished feels silly ...?

I think it'd be best not to have a lot of color in the jewerly. I was picturing bronze shoes and I loved some of the dark cream-colored pearl earrings posted. Of the shoes you posted, I like #3, the tiny picture, best - I think they're a good balance between strappy and covered-up, which is needed with this dress.

your dress is stunning!

i have some 1940s vintage pieces from my grandmother that i think would be exactly what you are looking for.  they are a white gold (so looks like silver) delicate filigree with emeralds set all through them--i have a brooch and a bangle bracelet.  i think that style and combination was fairly common, though, so it might be worthwhile to check vintage jewelry stores and/or places that might sell reproduction-type stuff.  i don't know where to send you to look for that, but i just wanted to say that i think that combination would look gorgeous with that dress--i think more so than something more modern-looking.

You look so amazing, it's not even funny!

I know you want silver, but I LOVE the idea of a soft gold with that dress.

I second this.
I also think that bronze shoes would look amazing.
That dress is perfect for you!

Love the gown...it really looks beautiful on you.  I personally think I would keep my jewelery very basic...simple earrings maybe pearls or plain stones...and I would go with a colored shoe...an olive, gold, or bronze.

These green's may not be right irl...I'd love to see a rich olive satin shoe, but these are about as close as I got.

Just curious, you may have posted in wedding section and I missed it but what color are your bridesmaids wearing?

I love the 2nd to last earings that nylabell posted. I dont know if they are weddingy enough depending on the direction you wanted to go. great shoes. My first thought was large pearl necklace that ties with a ribbon the matches the sash, or maybe a bracelet instead.

That is one of the most beautiful dress I have ever seen. Congrats.

I also agree with going gold and here's why:  the sash on your gown is olive green, right?  Olive has more "warm" tones to it than "cool" tones and so I think gold would work with those warm tones better.  If you had a sage green or an apple green sash though, those would be "cool" tones and would look better with silver/white gold.

I LOVE these earrings and think they'd compliment the olive green really well without matching it:

I think they'd look really pretty with your coloring too.

As for shoes, I'm no help there.

Wow!  Thanks for all your sweet responses !  You all posted some great stuff!

I drug FH on a mondo shopping trip today - it did yield some results, even if it was painful!  After seeing tons of shoes and earrings, I think that I like the look of pearl earrings.  They seem to blend better with the lace on the dress than crystal/rhinestones do, and I just really cannot handle gold.  I don't own any, so I really don't want to wear something on my wedding day that I don't like enough to wear in everyday life, ya know?  And my wedding ring is white gold to boot.  Thanks for the recommendation to look for vintage stuff Bumblebee!  The hunt would be fun if nothing else.

I these!  I will be looking for something very similar.

I got FH on board with olive shoes!  That way I can look all bridal on the outside and be rockin' my green stilettos on the inside Sweatergirl, I too think ideally they would be olive satin, but I might have to wait until fall/winter to see more of them around.  I also like the suggestion Splash and other made for a bronze shoe, and I would probably have a larger selection to choose from.  The BMs are wearing bronze.  I think these earrings would be perfect for them, no?

I you guys!
