I want to use some of the money I got for graduation to buy a string of pearls and I am so confused! Help me pick- these are all from overstock. I think I am set on the 18" length- do you think thats the way to go? There's a nice 24" strand, but I'm afraid that will be too long?

I have a strand that's 15 inches and I think it's a good length.  I would go for 18 if you want a little longer but I think 24 might be really long---unless that's the look you're going for.

Could you go to a department store and try on different lengths just to see what they look like? Or measure a necklace of yours that's the length you want? I think the mid-length (which I think 24 would be) looks a little conservative, but shorter looks really nice. If you want the option of longer, though, what about an even longer strand that you could then wrap around twice to make short?
