STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I had to share this. (sorry that it's a bit long)

First, I go to a nutritionist who is fantastic. She's helped me lose a lot of weight and keep my eating in a healthy perspective. I've been going to her for a few years for maintenance and just to chat. She called me yesterday to tell me about her shopping trips because as she said, she "just had to tell someone." So kind. She went to the Barney's Warehouse sale that started yesterday and also to teh Prada sale, which I'd told her about. She said Prada wasn't worth it because while things were 10% off, 10% off $1000 isn't much of a deal. She also told me that Barneys had a lot of the Antik Denim jeans I'd been lusting after. Yippee? Well, not so fast.

Before I went to Barney’s I went to the Intermix sale and had great luck. I got a pair of Stella McCartney shoes for $49 and a pair of Michael Kors boots for $49 and they were both an additional 20%. I won the boots because of a coin toss. All the shoes had been spread out on a table and I found one pair of the boots and someone else had the other pair. When we found each other it was a bit awkward at first because we both had one boot. Some guy who worked at the sale suggested we flip a coin. And that’s what we ended up doing. She called heads and it was tails! i like my new boots. lots.

By the time I got to Barneys at 5:30 all the Antik and most of the jeans were gone. gone! i had been so excited all day about the prospect of getting them for a lot less that $275. Grr. There were yellow cropped COH's that were very cute for $49 but i have a bright yellow skirt and don't want to overdo the yellow.
