Has anyone else but me noticed that their accumulated items for Fall really seem to fall into the beige and brown category? Am I the only one who seems to be stuck in a "brown" rut? Not that it's bad. I love the brown colors, but I've just made this observation..... For example, I just bought this today in the tan color:
And all the shoes I've bought have been camel or tan. All the crops I've bought have been browns. You get my point......
I've been buying brown all year - which is weird, because before this I never really even looked at it. But lately my favorite color is a rich, chocolate brown.
But for fall so far I've bought teal - one of those colors that just *works* with my skin / hair, and isn't available every season (like it was in the '80's, LOL). So I'm stocking up on that. Fortunately, it works well with brown. *s*

I love brown, specifically a rich, chocolate brown. Anytime I see something that I really like in brown, I snap it up b/c I know that I'll keep in my wardrobe for a long, long time. I use brown as the base neutral color in my wardrobe (the way a lot of people use black or grey). It goes with everything!
And as far as seasonal colors, I tend to wear whatever color I want to whenever I want to. Seasons, schmeasons, I could care less. I think fabric is more of a seasonal dictator than color. For example, I will not be wearing velvet in July, or linen (which I don't usually wear anyway) in January (but I might if I lived in Miami).
The colors that I'm excited to see this fall are purple and teal (but didn't we do these colors last fall, too?). These are two of my favorite colors, so I'll be buying tons of stuff in these colors to add to my wardrobe. I also like a deep, rich rose-pink in the fall, too (if we're talking seasonal colors and their availability in stores). I'm hoping to see this somewhere, too.
I have bought a bunch of brown too. I'm trying to stop myself, but when given the choice I've picked up brown or green. I'm trying to stop grabbing pink - but it's still out there & so hard for me to pass up. But the brown is definately there if you want it..... My new thing is purple because it's out there too.....

I love brown too, when I go shopping I always buy something brown. I'm starting to fear the day someone points out my brown obsession. I don't even remember HOW to wear black. >_> I am tired of pink and brown now though. I remember the shops back in spring, it was like an entire half of a store was devoted to mannequins befitted in pink and brown ensembles!

Yes, and it made me so mad b/c I love these colors and have been wearing them together for years and now it's all trendy. And now the same thing is happening with aqua and brown. What's next? Lavender and brown? Stop taking away my obsessions and making them trendy!!

Teal and brown! FEAR THE TEAL AND BROWN!

I seemed to have bought a lot of peach and a lot of a raspberry/pink/purple-y color to wear, also. But those would go w/ all the browns I've bought. I know those colors aren't exactly "cold weather," but I don't care. They look good on me. Oh, and a lot of white sweaters for some reason. Guess we know who's gonna be matchy-matchy this year.....
I used to be such a black-based person until maybe a couple of years ago. I started to realize I was obsessed with brown last winter when I managed to acquire three pairs of brown pants and the brown print Karen Millen skirt in the course of a month. I hit the brakes then. If I hadn't my whole bottoms collection would be brown.
But it all started in 6th grade when I wore an old lady silk blouse from Burlington Coat Factory to school and people said hte color looked so good on me. So when I remembered that little fact years later, I became inclined to try and work with brown.
