i second hue. i think it's great for price and range. i also love donna karen tights/hoisery. they make my favorite fishnet and nice opaque stockings as well.

macy's, or at least the one near me, has an excellent hoisery dept. lots of choices and i usually stock up before the cold weather starts to ensure i get the tights i want and more importantly so my legs don't freeze.

if you want to be fancy or buy tights that last (that sounds wrong to me), buy wolford or fogal. the detail in their tights are amazing. i usually go to the wolford outlet and buy them. full price they can be $45 - 85 a pair. but if you're looking for something really interesting try there.
