Since autumn is a time of renewed motivation, I am going to make some autumnal resolutions!
With the move and disruption in routine, eating, and exercise habits, I need to get myself back on track, into shape, and detoxify. Also a great way to form new habits/routines is to do something for 30 days...
For the next 30 days I commit to trying my best to adhere to the following:
- 1 hour on the elliptical 2x/day (1st thing in the morning before coffee/computer, and right after work or during a prime-time show) - take my vitamins/supplements right after morning work out - eat a lot less and stop having dinner with my husband (I will cook for him, but he wants to eat way later than me -- I like to have dinner at 5 because that's when I'm hungry. I find I snack at 5 then eat dinner later -- it's almost like having two dinners.) - drink more water - stop drinking a beer or two on weeknights - spend at least 1 hour a day organizing/putting things away/getting rid of things/working on the house
If you want to make some autumnal resolutions too, please share! Sometimes it helps to write them out and post them publicly

Since the Tuesday after Labor Day, I've been going to the gym every weekday morning. I have only missed a few mornings, and that was last week due to food poisoning, so I've been doing unusally well for me. I'd like to kep this up. I'm currently challenging myself to see how big of a change I can see in my body in 50 days (my attention span isn't much longer than that). So, I commit to keeping this up. There, I said it.
Also, my husband recently opened his own business. He is usually a really big help around the house with chores and whatnot, and I want to try to give him a break. He suddenly needs a lot more time to relax, and I want to be able to give that to him. So far I've been doing OK, but I could do better. Also, I think if I cleaned/organized a few places (cough-linen closet!) it would be easier for me to keep it up.
I also have a few half done or small projects around the house, and I'd like to complete them before Thanksgiving (a lot of it is painting related).
Since I'm at school full time now, I really need to make an effort to keep my exercise habits up. My goal is to go on at least 3 walks per week and do at least 3 strength training sessions per week.
I'm hoping that tying these habits into my school schedule will make them easier to stick to .....

Good idea! I went back to my New Years resolutions and some I'm doing well with (keeping up with my strength and core training) and others not so much (organizing and printing my digital photos.) So I'm resolving here and now to start on the photo calendar that I create for my mom as a Christmas present. I usually think about it for months and then work non-stop on it a week before Christmas. In the next 30 days, I want to have the photos picked out for the months and dates and have the general layout set up. I think that's pretty realistic.
*Get back on a healthy eating/exercise program. I fell off the wagon, and I really do need to lose weight. *Apply for more jobs. I graduated in May, and have been a bit too selective in my job search - I need to widen my net. *Start taking my dog for more walks - I've been slacking in that area, and I know she's bored. *Watch less TV! This is probably a bad time to start this goal, as the TV season just started... I'd like to keep it to no more than 2.5 hours/day.
