Ok, so I am 27 years old and completely ashamed of the fact that I have a rock star crush on Branden Flowers.  I saw The Killers last night and it was amazing.


I've developed many rock star crushes in my time....just curious who some of yours are?

A couple of weeks ago Vanessa took me to see Def Leppard and Bryan Adams for my birthday and although I didn't care much about Bryan Adams (we were more into the DL part of the gig) I left there totally in love with him.  He is so sexy when he is belting out those songs and playing the guitar!!  We actually got right up to the front of the stage too so we got a very good look:)! 


I am also still in love with every member of Duran Duran.

back in seventh grade, i was completely in love with billie joe armstrong from greenday.  wha....?  he's so not my type, it's hilarious.  i've also had a thing for tupac (still my favorite), snoop dogg (i don't know why!), joe perry from aerosmith, anthony kiedis, dave matthews, and jim morrison over the years.


currently, i'm crushing on pharell (so little and cute!), beck (genius), jack johnson (cute laid back surfer boy), tim mcgraw (i can't put into words how sexy i find him....rrrrarrr!), and dave grohl (love a funny man...)


wow, i have waaaay, too many rock star crushes....

in kindergarted i had a crush on lionel richie -- there's no explanation for it.


in second grade i had a crush on jon bon jovi -- my friends and i used to sing living on a prayer during recess


in high school/college i had a crush on keith murray (he's a rapper) i had 2 other roommates and the plan was for me to marry keith, my roommate to marry redman, and my other roommate to marry method man (they're all like rapper friends). then we'd live in the same neighborhood and take vacations together etc. 


now i just have crushes on dj's.

Hmm I use to really LOVE Mos def and Butterfly from digable planets. I also had a thing for Lenny Kravitz a little while ago.


Now I have crushes on the most obscure people..

I've had many.... Robert Plant (from Led Zeppelin if you didn't know... I am totally aging myself there, but in my defense that was in junior hhigh & HS) to Dave Grohl to Kurt Cobain... Rock stars are a thing for me. 


Of course, it has been Rhett Miller from the Old 97's for some time now.  He's the prettiest thing I have ever seen... and he writes these great, witty, sad, lyrics about love & life gone wrong... And so hot in concert - it KILLS me (and every other girl in the audience).   Hey, I am not made of wood!

My two biggest crushes are people most of you have probably never heard of.  One is Mat Devine from this local Chicago band, Kill Hannah. (he's the one on the left & yes i know he wears makeup, but i love him)

I thought I was in love with Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol because he has the most gorgeous voice I've ever heard, until I realized that the guy in the front of this picture:



is not actually Gary but somebody else. Nathan. Allmusic won't tell me what Nathan plays. And apparently Gary is the guy in the back, squinting balefully over Nathan's shoulder. Ah well.

I have allways had crushes on rock stars(more so than actors).I think it is because I am a musician my self. I can totally relate to music and creating music.


My favorite of all time is Gavin Rosdale (from Bush). When I was a teenager it was so pathetic. I had pictures of him All over my room.He is still my favorite. (I have had people tell me i look like him.)


I also like:Jacob Dylan from the wallflowers and dont laugh,but I also like Adam Duritz from the Counting Crows( I have a thing for guys with dreadlocks).

Shopchicago -- really? Yay! I love hearing it when someone else loves Oasis as much as I do! All through my teenage years, I saved up every dollar from babysitting to pay for their expensive import CDs/singles from the UK! (I now have every single and album they've ever released.....I'm sure your BF would understand!)

Yep - he has every single album, import, single and dvd they've ever made.  I like them a lot too.  Actually - we just saw them in concert a couple months ago.  They are so good live!
