Nylabelle, you seem like such an interesting and talented and all around cool person with awesome fashion sense and great advice. I guess this is like the ST equivalent of a group hug, and I know things have been super-tough for you these days.
Plus, you need something more interesting to do than stuff envelopes and do data entry!
I'll start...
What was a day in your life like when you were 15?
If you knew you only had a week to live, what would you do?

Aw, thanks Lilykind. I need a group hug right now!
What was a day in your life like when you were 15?Wow, that was 11 years ago...Let's see. The first thing that came to mind was playing four-on-four beach volleyball. I was actually pretty good and I was the only girl on the team. We used to go to the park and play in the sand courts every Sunday after church. We would literally be there until it started to get dark.
I also spent alot of time doing volunteer work with my church youth group. We went on trips to NYC and DC and worked in shelters, projects, soup kitchens, food banks, ect. I loved doing this kind of stuff. I miss it. I met so many interesting people and really felt that I was making a difference in their lives, if only even for a moment.
If you knew you only had a week to live, what would you do? Quit my job! I'd spend the entire time with my mom and my friends, doing anything and everything creative. Singing, dancing, making jewelry. And of course, it would all take place on a beach in Hawaii.
What's your favorite Broadway show? I can't pick just one! But I do love Sondheim! I especially love 'Sunday in the Park with George' and 'Into the Woods.' I also love Bernadette Peters, who was in both of those shows in the original cast. I also adore 'Beauty and the Beast.' I've always loved that story. I think the whole concept is just beautiful. And 'Side Show' is another favorite, not really b/c of the plot, but I think some of the songs are just amazing and singing along to that soundtrack is so fun (all of those power ballads!).
What is your favorite kind of music? My musical taste is very ecelectic, but I have to say that it's got to be Broadway. I love, love musical theatre.
Who is your favorite singer/band? Again, it's hard to pick just one, but I love U2 and REM. I also love Jessica Simpson (don't laugh!). And I love Linda Eder (she started on Broadway), Kristen Chenoweth and Bernadette Peters.
Do you have a fashion icon and if so who is it? Again, I love Jessica Simpson. I think she's fun and girly. I also love Cameron Diaz for her quirkiness (I saw my Hello Kitty necklace on her and decided that I had to have it!). I love how they both wear hats and look so cool. I don't really have any occassion to wear a hat, but if I did, I would wear hats like them.
If you could live in any city in the U.S where would you live?Definitely a coastal city, probably LA or San Diego, or somewhere in Hawaii. Somewhere where I could surf! I want to learn how to surf! On the East Coast, I'm contemplating Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA.
If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live? Probably Australia. The only problem there would be that my birthday would be during the winter months and I love having a summer bday. But I have always been fascinated with Australia and have known people who lived there and I think I would like it.
What is your favorite food? Sushi. Or Surf 'n Turf. Or Chocolate covered strawberries with chamagne.
If you won $100,000, how would you spend it? Hmmm...well, I would probably invest most of it. Then I would buy a new car (most likely a Mazda). And of course, I couldn't call myself a Stylethreader if I didn't go shopping with some of it!
What is the best compliment you've ever receieved? Hmmm...probably something to do with singing/theatre. I've been told that I'm a triple threat (acting, singing, dancing). I've also been told (on several occassions) that I have the most beautiful voice that someone has ever heard and that I should be/could be famous if I tried (and I'm not talking about friends and family saying this b/c they're supposed to say crap like that).
Whats your favorite ice cream flavor? I'm not a huge fan of icecream (call me crazy), but when I do eat it, I usually get some variation of coffee. I do like Starbucks Espresso Chip.
you live in west chester, pa right? have you even seen a bank called scythian? if not, you need to. they've been playing up there occasionally and they are fun. and HOT. (www.scythianmusic.com)
what kind of advertising is it that you want to do and what sort of classes etc have you taken/ will you take to make this a possability (I am interested in advertising too, so this is a purely selfish question)?

I would prefer to work on the creative side of advertising doing copywriting or art direction. I don't care if it's in an ad agency or an ad department in a company (it would be great if it was an arts organization, but I'm not pigeon-holing myself). I would take a position on the business side (account management, ect) if offered, but that's not my first choice. I would like to work my way up to being a Creative Director.
I majored in Magazine Journalism in college, but I took alot of advertising classes (my major allowed for that with the way the program was set up--it was a cross-educational thing). I took copywriting and publication design classes. I also did my (3) internships in advertising (mostly with copywriting and publication design with a little bit of PR thrown in). I wrote and designed brochures, newsletters and programs. I also wrote press releases and assembled media kits. I did a little event planning, too. Additionally, I was accepted into a selective advertising seminar/internship program with my college and was an account manager for that and won two national advertising awards. Starting in the fall, I'm going back to school for a second degree in Graphic Design and I would like to then go on to pursue an MFA in Advertising Design.
All that and I can't find a job. Nice, right? Advertising is hard to break into, even if you have connections (b/c I do and still do not have a job) and most positions that are available aren't advertised. You just have to be in the right place at the right time. And in order to get a creative position, you have to have a portfolio (even an internship requires that).
What are the qualities of your ideal man: looks, personality, lifestyle? (considering that man of the moment doesn't seem to be carrying on many good ones!!!! and I want to give him a cyber punch in the face for you!!)

Where are you moving to?
Are you going to be closer to your Mom? (cause it sounds like you guys are really close and that's so sweet! )
What is your favorite item of clothing? I think it varies from season to season, but right now, I have to say that my chocolate brown tiered skirt from Target is the frontrunner. It just goes with so much stuff in my closet, I could wear it everyday! And it's comfy, too.
What is one physical characteristic you would change about yourself, if you could? None, really. I'm pretty happy with myself physically. Anything I don't really like at the moment, is completely changeable if I get up off my butt and start doing some crunches. I used to have a six pack and right now, it's a pathetic little 2-pack, so I'd like to get that back. Other than that, I think I have a unique look and I like that.
What is your favorite movie, Tv show and book?
Movie:
In the mindless comedy category, I love 'Office Space.' I just think it's hilarious! Poor Milton and his stapler! HA!
In the tearjerker category: 'Beaches.' It never fails I cry every time. Funny story about how I acquired my copy of that movie--My roommate and I my freshman year of college loved it and used to rent it and watch over and over again. So, one day during the holidays we went to Kmart and she bought a copy of it. We got back to the dorm and I ripped it open. She gasped and was like, "I bought that as a Christmas present for my cousin!' I was like, "oops, I thought you bought it for us. Do you want it back?" and she replied, "no, it's yours now."
TV Show:
I have a few-- My current favorite is 'Lost.' I am completely obssessed with this show and talk about it to anyone who will listen. I got my mom hooked, my bf hooked, my dad hooked and several co-workers and friends. I love it. It really gets the wheels in my brain going and I love that about it. I feel like an active participant, which is cool.
Those that are no longer with us (*sob*)--
'Felicity' I LOVE BEN!!!! I just thought this show was so poignant and really captured a moment in time that so many college kids go through in such a beautiful way. I was very touched by it.
'Friends.' What a great, funny, touching show! I love everything about this show and I'm still rooting for 'Joey' to make it b/c I'm still not ready to let go of my friends!
Book: 'The Great Gatsby' I first encountered it in my high school lit class and I fell in love.
What tv / pop culture character do you most identify with? At this moment in my life, probably Rachel Green from Friends. She struggled a lot with her career but eventually landed on top. And she had an on-again off-again, rocky relationship with one of her best friends. And she had a good sense of style. I've been told that I look like her, too (I don't really think so, but whatever).
What are the qualities of your ideal man: looks, personality, lifestyle?
Looks: I don't really have a specific type, but if I could build a man, he would have crystal blue eyes and wavy, thick golden blonde hair (surfer-ish), be 6'0" tall and slim but muscular or he'd just look like Johnny Depp, whichever would be fine with me.
Personality: They definitely need to be fun, but also be able to be serious when needed. Someone who is a free spirit and willing to experience new places and things (I'm very much like this and need someone who is the same). Someone who just cracks me up. I don't care if the rest of the world doesn't think he's funny, if he makes me laugh, then he's okay. Someone with a good work ethic and a drive to succeed, but not so much so that he's a workaholic. Basically someone whose company I can enjoy whether it's sitting at home on a Friday night watching a movie, going out and dancing on a Saturday or reading the paper and drinking coffee on a lazy, Sunday morning.
I also need someone who understand my extreme need for creativity and a creative environment. They don't have to be a crazy creative type themselves (two creative types could be an emotional disaster!), but just appreciate and understand it.
Lifestyle: They must like to travel! And also appreciate the arts and culture--going to museums, shows, wine tastings, gallery openings, ect. I think I partially answered this in the personality section, but I want someone who works hard, but also knows that life isn't all about work. It's about people. Someone who is close to his family, but not so close that they can't break away. There's close and then there's being a child. Oh and they must love dogs b/c I plan to have a bunch!
Where are you moving to? Are you going to be closer to your Mom? I'm moving to King of Prussia, it's about 20 minutes away from West Chester. No, it's not closer to my mom (it's 20 minutes farther, but I've lived in Center City Philly before, which is even farther and it's not a big deal).
Yeah, my mom and I are very close (but she still doesn't do my laundry!! ). I think it's b/c I'm an only child and my parents are divorced and she raised me with the help of her parents (who were like parents to me).
How did you meet your boyfriend? We were neighbors. I lived in the house around the corner from him. He moved in a week before me. One night my friend and I were walking to her car (which happend to be parked in front of his house) and he and his friends were hanging out on his front porch and they started talking to us. We all ended up hanging out that night and then we all just became friends. He and I got really close, really fast as far as being best friends and we stayed friends until almost two years ago when we dated the first time. I freaked and called it off. Then we started dating again six months later (or thereabouts).
Where do you see yourself in 5, 10, 20 yrs? I'm so hesitant to answer that question b/c I am so far from where I thought I would be at this point in my life. Suffice it to say that hopefully, I'll have a career in a creative field, a family and enough money to live comfortably and travel frequently. Oh, and hopefully, at some point, I'll be living in a warmer climate by the beach.
What is your favorite pig out food? I don't really pig out that much. I just eat all the time in small quantities. I have to think about this. I guess sushi. I could eat it all day long. Either that or burritos from Baja Fresh.
Oh sweet! Another Lost fan! I'm hooked too. Since you're a Lost fan, what do you think is going to happen in the second season? Do you think there are any other people on the island? What do you think is Locke's deal?
Oh sweet! Another Lost fan! I'm hooked too. Since you're a Lost fan, what do you think is going to happen in the second season? Do you think there are any other people on the island? What do you think is Locke's deal?
Oh, no! Now you've got me started.
I definitely think that there are other people on the island (actually the writers have confirmed this) and I believe that there are more survivors (from the tail section of the plane, remember Michelle Rodriguez's character? Well, she's a new cast member this coming season. There have been others added as well.)
I know that there are several theories bouncing around out there about what's going on, but the one that I believe to be the case is a good versus evil scenario (kind of like in Stephen King's 'The Stand,' which one the writers have admitted to using as inspiration). On a similar, slightly more complicated plotline, I think that in addition to (or maybe instead of) good versus evil, it may be faith (Locke) versus science (Jack). I think these will be parallels to good versus evil.
There has been so much foreshadowing to this idea throughout the whole first season. One of the most telling things is Jack statement in the finale, "If we survive this, I think we're going to have a Locke problem." Obviously, these two are at odds. I think that there will be people who stay with Jack and others who follow Locke. I think that there is a higher power guiding this whole situation (and maybe Jack and Locke are both right in their own ways as to following faith or science--however, I believe that something in the island is 'turning' Locke to evil). I think that there will definitely be a 'Locke problem.' this coming season. I think that something is 'calling' him (like the crow and the old lady called people in their dreams---Locke had dreams on the island, too---to whichever side they were going to be on).
