I'm thinking of getting this dress cause it looks comfy without being "sloppy"....(if i had my way  would live in some version of sweatpants year round...........)but $59 for polyester!!(orig. $205!!) i cant even remember the last time i bought anything polyester......am i unfairly biased?

the brand is "JLee Silver"

I refused to even try on polyester until a few months ago. I was suit shopping and a friend convinced me to give it a try. It isn't like the old polyester which felt stiff and plastic. There are some nice polyester fabrics now. I suspect for the price, it isn't one of the lesser fabrics.

I have nothing against polyester -- it's very carefree and holds color well.

If it's returnable, give it a shot. If you don't like the feeling of the fabric you can always return it.

I'm not in love with the style. I think it would look better with a belt, but then there goes the comfy factor for me.

I'd say no but for a different reason.  For me it would be extremely unfomfortable b/c of the elastic on the natural waist.  I have tried on a lot of dresses that gather at the waist like that, and I have a few as well, and it bothers me to have something tight against my stomach.  Even if it's not tight, I'm aware of it all the time and it drives me crazy.  I never wear the dresses I have for that reason.

Regarding the look of it, I think it's just kind of eh.  Maybe it's the length I'm not a fan of.  Anyway, I'd pass.

IMO the shape won't be flattering and I think you can find other super-comfy dresses that mimic the style and are under $50.

I like this dress for summer. I'm getting sort of a greek goddess vibe from it. But I don't know if it would work for fall - maybe with a belt. But as gossipgirl said...there goes the comfort factor.
