Hi there! Just wanted to pop in and say hello. I've been MIA for awhile, as I am in Mexico for a year, volunteering at an orphanage. (When I have the time) I still stop by and read your posts. :) I am bummed I will be missing my favorite season for fashion...fall. I am therefore living vicariously through you, loving your boots, coats, etc. Anyway, I hope you are all doing well.

hey there! thanks for stopping by and checking in!
Where are you in Mexico?
Hi D :) I am in Miacatlan, a small pueblo about 3 hours south of Mexico City. The closest city is Cuernavaca.

That's very impressive. Lots of people say that want to do something to help the world, but you're really doing it! I'd love to hear about your experiences too.
what an enriching experience. what has been your most interesting experience so far? what do you miss the most from the states if anything?
Ooooh, boy. My most interesting experience, hmmm. There seems to be a new one everyday! Some of them are: learning to live without the water and electricity that goes out ALL the time, learning new ways to do just about everything, being a primary caretaker for 16 little boys, adjusting to the awful food here...etc. I miss a lot from the states. The cleanliness and convenience of everything for sure. I miss the food and my family. And Target :) I started a blog www.tmbernu.blogspot.com if you're interested in seeing photos of the kids or reading about my experience.

Experiences like these really make you appreciate the little luxuries and access to products and services we take for granted. Hope you haven't gotten sick!
16 little boys! What a handful! I will stop by your blog and give it a read!
