My b'day was thursday so I did a little shopping.  I don't think that counts as breaking the ban


Hype Women's Acacia 2  I have wanted these ever since they came out.  They were on sale and I used my b'day money.


George - Lacy Charmeuse Camisole Top  this is gorgeous


Product Image in black--these may be the perfect pair of pants.  They fit me better than Express Correspondents which I thought were perfect



My big coup was a pink/lt brown brocade blazer with brooch buttons from JCP that was originally $72 that I got for $17.99.  It is not on their website and my camera batteries have died or I would post a pic.  It kind of looks like the shoes I bought.

a pair of straight jeans from the gap in a dark blue denim-no fading or anything.. im still deciding but wow have gap jeans improved!


Bobbi Brown lathering face wash and brightening moisturizer with spf 25


Murad clarifying treatment and acne spot treatment... i did a lot of research and trials on skincare, lets hope this is the answer to perfect skin (for me!)


bath and body works island hot spot scrub- it gets hot when you rub it in!


and the best part- i bought the Murad and the scrub at the new Bath & Body works spa that just opened so i also got a gift bag (for $10more) it is a great big tweed shoulder bag that will be perfect for my laptop, with makeup bags inside, and came with abt $20 of samples... you should all try out the C.O Bigelow mentha lip shine- great plumping lip gloss and if you lick your lips and makes your breath taste better!

i haven't been on a strict shopping ban (never officially joined!), but i've really been limiting my shopping for the past few months.  i kinda broke that this weekend, but i still wasn't too bad...


from old navy:


way cuter in person- kind of a winter white


this one might be going back.  it wants to be cute (kinda marc jacobs inspired- at least in person), but it's not quite there... the belt doesn't really hit in the right place or something.


from urban- a really cute purple tee with bright blue all-over pattern (the pattern is actually music notes if you look closely).  hard to describe- unfortunately it's not on the website!


from a local boutique- a cute free people tank top.  it's light green with a sort of botanical print (?) and the shape is loose and swingy.  will be great for layering on those days when i don't want to suck it in.   and it was on sale!

oodles of organizing tools from the container store!  (ahhhh, i had a wonderful OCD weekend )

-My parents are in town and bought me these curtains from Z gallerie. You can't tell in the picture but they are white, natural, and light gold stripes in a raw silk shantung. They're for my living room.

I had two of my nieces (17 & 8) this past weekend, but of course the 17-yr. old was in her own little world w/her friend, so the 8-yr. old hung out w/me and Mom. LOL



  • Lucky Sept. 05 magazine (THICK like the Marie Claire one - YES!) - Walgreens

  • From Melrose for me and 8-yr. old niece - brought her two T-shirts (Princess and Angel), silver/pink bead necklace w/a chunky pendant, 2 prs. of earrings for me, and a cute short-sleeve white shirt w/gold, coral, and turq. glitter by the neck (I let her and Mom choose it for me! LOL Imagine that)

  • From Icing by Claire's for me and my niece - 7-pk lipgloss (she kept 4, gave me 3 (LOL), a "SEXY" compact mirror for her pink purse that Mom brought her, and 2 BIG lipglosses (pink) one for me, one for her.

  • From A'Gaci Too - she's REALLY into lipglosses, so yes - another pink (different color pink) for Little Miss Thing

That's it, she wore me out, as stated, I only talked to my 17-yr. old niece on her cell while she hung out w/her friend BOY WATCHING at the Mall on Saturday, so oh well, she could've scored too.......

I'm so excited about the necklace!   It was very briefly on Girlshop where I could have gotten it for much cheaper using my friend's employee discount but sadly by the time I decided to get it, they had sold out and I decided to hold off.  Yet months later I am still in love with it so I decided to use my ebay profits to get it.   I hope it gets here soon!
