I was just rereading the skin care regimen post and saw that you use all bobbi brown products- you are a bobbi makeup artist, right?

I wear all Bobbi Brown face makeup and was considering some skincare products so i have some questions for you, if you dont mind! (so sorry to everyone who keeps having to read my posts abt. skincare!)

the SA recommended using the Lathering Tube Soap in the morning and night (and i plan to use a salicylic acid cleanser (kiehls) at night to prevent breakouts) then the soothing face tonic and the brightening lotion with spf 25. does this sound right for someone with normal skin and occasional breakouts and redness?

I noticed you use the brightening facial water and the protective lotion- what are the differences between those and what was recommended to me? what is better? also, does the lotion last a long time, b/c it is pricey!

thank you for your help i really appreciate it!

Hey ritz! Yes, I'm a MA for Bobbi. I'm happy to help you!

Lathering Tube Soap is a great cleanser for normal skin. The coconut extract will clean any dirt/makeup and apricot oil will give moisture back to the skin, so you're left feeling squeaky clean but not dry!

Soothing Face Tonic is definitely optional. Our cleansers do not strip the skin, so unless you like using a toner, you don't have to. I have this as well as the Brightening Facial Water. I actually stopped using the BFW because I felt it burnt my skin even though there's no alcohol in it. I also couldn't tell a difference between redness in my skin while using this.

My counter does not carry the Brightening line, and I've only used the facial water. I think that the brightening lotion is somewhat similar to the protective face lotion, the differences being the "brightening" ingredients as well as a higher spf. I'm not so sure how well the brightening lotion will work, as I said before I didn't really feel a difference after using the facial water. I use the protective face lotion in the summer because i have normal/oily skin and it is an oil-free light weight moisturizer, but will definitely go to something with a bit more moisture as the climate gets colder. So remember that depending on your climate and skin, your skincare needs can change. I bought the deluxe size version of protective face, she brings this out every christmas season, it should hit counters in a month or two. It was about ten dollars more and has lasted for 7+ months. This lotion is ok, but I have definitely used stuff comparable for a lot cheaper.

I'm not sure what skincare you already have from other lines, but I love our eye cream and intensive skin supplement. These two products are so much more important than soothing face tonic. Also, I don't know how old you are but I definitely suggest starting at age 20 with anti-aging treatments.

I don't care for our blemish paste. It has such a small amount of salacylic acid in it that it doesn't do anything for my hormonal breakouts. So continuing with your cleanser at night is a great idea!

I think I answered everything! If not, or if you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm happy to help!
