Big outfit dilemma

So apparently I am going to be attending a "Dukes of Hazard" party this weekend. Don't ask.

I have *no* idea what I can wear. I refuse to completely cave to the theme and wear Daisy Dukes. But, should I go the opposite direction and wear something girly glam or should I put together something with the only potentially Duke-ish item of clothing I own, which is a pair of Frye-esque boots? Please help! Suggestions welcome. I think I might actually shop this week, so I can pick up new stuff.

Oh, and I want to look reeeeeeeeeeeaally hot. Like this >   Hee hee.

How about a denim mini, fryes, and a shirt that you can tie up in the front?

Yeah, that's what a friend suggested, too. I am kind've leaning the other way though. I wear the boots/mini combo fairly often. I kind've want to mix it up. Any ideas? (Sorry to be difficult, but I do really appreciate the help).

Sounds kind of fun - here's what I'd wear to keep with the theme! Sorry it's SO BIG!

General Lee Babydoll shirt

what do you mean by girly glam? it sounds like it has potential.  another option might be cropped jeans and cowboy boots.

& with maybe a big belt

Honey,

I like those choices. For girly glam I was thinking:

Maybe this shirt Rar210 posted:

With jeans:

double button trouser (crosshatch rinse)

With long delicate necklace strands with tiny pearls, silver strappy heels, and an embroidered pink brown and cream clutch.

??

I think the girly glam sounds lovely; however, I don't think it will come across as appropriate for this party. If you know it's got a theme, I'd play along with it - the tee, mini and boots is perfect IMO (even if you wear the mini-boots all the time).

what about a big prairie skirt? i'm dying to wear one with a tube dress and then with a big studded belt (like Summer - Rachel Bilson from the O.C. - is shown in the Sept Lucky)

i think anything kinda western would work.

also can I come?
