Shoes for BR suit
Permalink Closed

Hey ladies!  I need some ideas for shoes with this BR suit I got last weekend.  I'm just starting to incorporate brown into my wardrobe, so I don't have much that goes with it.  Also, I'm planning on wearing the suit mostly as separates, but I'll wear it for business trips and presentations as a suit.  Any ideas?

P.S.  I got 30% of the suit with a friends and family coupon!  How great is that?!?!?  Sorry, just had to share.

I like the T-strap the model is wearing with that suit.  I could also see a dark bronze with that suit maybe, in a wedge style heel.  But I think dark chocolate brown is best.  You could go with a Mary Jane style too, or the pointy toe look.  But I think with the style of the suit, a round toe works the best.

I NEVER hear about the Friends and Family until after it's over.  And I shop at both Gap and BR all the time!! I have been thinking of getting that suit myself, for awhile.  I was trying to wait for a sale but I may not be able to wait.  How does it run??

me too! I love it, but it's so expensive. And I am a little iffy about it becasue I've seen it IRL and it has elbow patches- which are totally cool for the jacket as a blazer, but I feel like it makes the suit a little more casual than I originally thought it would be.

Yeah, I was super excited about the Friends and Family discout--we saved like $100!  I'm sure it will go on sale before too long.  Also, you could get the suit now and just save your receipt and see if they'll do a price adjustment.  Or you could wait a month or so and I'll bet your chances of getting a price adjustment will be even better.

The suit runs true to size.  I'm smaller on top than I am on the bottom and got a 6 in the pants and skirt and a 4 in the jacket, which is pretty normal for me, and it fits perfectly.  I'm not in love with the elbow patches, but they don't bug me that much either.  The jacket looks SUPER cute with a cute cami and jeans too, so I'll get a lot of wear out of it.

Do you ladies think that burgundy or dark purple shoes would look okay with it, or would that look weird?  As I said, I'm new to working with brown and still haven't figured it out 100%.

I would go with a burgundy over a dark purple, but I think a rich red burgundy would look *wonderful* with that suit. Also teal...mmm.

Thanks!  I love those outfits!  I think I'm going to play around a bit with the suit this afternoon and I'll take pics and post them if I come up with anything cute!

ebay shoes, maybe?
I've never worn a suit before so I'm not sure but these are burgundy kind of! I also really like the shoes the model is wearing with the pants.

I would put pink shoes with it.

Expensive, but beautiful

golden toe pumps

These say antique gold, but they look kinda pinky to me.  Either way they'd look cute.

Kenzie

Ok, uber expensive, but would be adorable!

corsage slingbacks

I think brown shoes with colored trim would be cute.

For example:

Transport London 2755-1$49

Transport London 2701-20$38

Gabriella Rocha Iren$29

rsvp Palo$44
