clarins? minor update	Permalink Closed

does anyone use clarins for skincare? i've used their toner (love it), i'm running low on cleanser and moisturizer (mine is aveda right now but i'm thinking of trying something else, clarins perhaps) and carmenb513 recommended their brightener, which i need. does anyone love their line? hate it? any other recommendations for a skincare line? i did pick up a few items from chanel (an anti-aging gel and a scrub) last week when i got my fabulous makeover, but i'm not sure i want to go all out on their skincare products too. (i can't be a total chanel-whore) thanks! update: i know this is eventually going to turn into a post similar to my "at the chanel counter" post, but it'll be "at the clarins counter". i went over there to get my toner and try their cleanser and the girl that was helping me suggested i make an appointment for a free facial next week! so last week i got my makeover at chanel and next week i'm getting a facial at clarins. i better go wrap some rolls of quarters or find some money in a pocket somewhere... i think i'm going to need it. -- Edited by hotcocoa at 13:39, 2005-08-11 __________________ ak

I used clarins years ago and I expect the line has changed since then but I remember a foaming cleanser that was really good, and a moisturising base that was great under makeup. I also loved the smell of the face oils even though at the time I could not imagine putting an oil on my already oily face. Oh, I also loved the eye cream and gel. __________________ "These are not the droids you are looking for"

i LOVE their gentle peeling exfoliator. it's NOT a peel, but it peels off, it looks like eraser...it works! and i love their exfoliating refiner. i use that in the shower on my face. other than that i just use whatever misc samples of stuff my mom's given me. __________________
