How to find a recruiter?

How the heck do you find a recruiter/headhunter?  I don't want a temp agency or anything like that. I've tried internet searches and I haven't had much luck. Any thougts?

what are you typing into your search?  have you tried "staffing firms" or "employment agencies"?  also, ask around- ask anybody you can think of.  tons of people use recruiters.  my roommate had great luck with some recruiters (they got her a fabulous job at a design firm) and now i'm working with them.
