help me with my anniversary outfit

My husband and I are celebrating our 1 yr. anniversay end of this month.  We are doing the theater and dinner.  So i want to look nice but not over dressed.  Here are some ideas can you girls help me pull something together?  Or tell me what you think.  I'm in Chicago for weather reference.


I want to use my cardi-wrap, in case it's cold in the theather, it's dark brown:

I think I am leaning towards the dress, something about the skirt is not "popping" for me. What about incorporating baby blue with the brown cardi-wrap?
