Okay, so I'm just now REALLY thinking of getting some for fall.  But I hate to spend a lot of money because I'm sure they won't get much wear.  Considering I'm in dress clothes 5 days out of 7.  I found these on E-bay - guarenteed authentic or money back - 100% feedback on seller - what do you think?

I was loving a few Frye boots until they seem like the boot to have this fall.  I don't want to look like everybody else.  Plus there are a lot of copy cat boots.  Since you wouldn't wear them much, I would go with the Skechers version or something and save money.

I think they are really cute. If the price is reasonable and you can afford it then I say get 'em

I'm not sure how much you want to spend, but nordstrom.com has the harness ones for like $180, which seems fine for good-quality leather boots, esp. since compared to the other Frye styles.

Also, for any NY ladies who might check this post, I did see some Fryes at C21 the other day...

i agree with cortney. i love fryes (have 3 pairs) & they are definitely worth the money. (though they've been in style for ages -- at least since the 70's.) however if you know that you're not going to wear the boots that much, and want to avoid the hassel of ebay, delias has a version for $80 (may be cheaper than ebay)
