outfit ideas?

I tried all spring and summer to come up with an outfit to go with this skirt that I was happy with, but I just could not come up with anything. I am now trying to create a fall outfit with it.  I really don't want to do a khaki colored top because I already have a fall outfit from last year with khaki and yellow.  Any ideas??  I am getting about ready to just donate this skirt to goodwill.  It wasn't expensive and it has been nothing but a thorn in my side as far as making an outfit with it.  HELP!!

How about pairing it with a deep midnight blue top? That's the first color that comes to my mind when I see that skirt. And tall boots would help make it fall-worthy, too.

I remember you posting that skirt before.  I am thinking chocolate brown and teal but I really don't have any specific examples.  Or what about a denim jacket and maybe those blue shoes you posted earlier??

I"m not really sure what the fabric was, but I remember you tried to wear it with brown in the spring.  What about with this brown jacket posted in your other thread:

and a cami with lace sticking out of the bottom.  Then maybe you could wear them with cute closed toe wedge heels.

I noticed that too.  Do you have a Target near you? My co-worker was just there today & said they had loads of jackets.  They should have them as they are in this weeks sales flyer.

I am going shopping next week and there is a Target where I am going.  I just hope they have them and they are not sold out. OK, I have been thinking about all the ideas you ladies have give me and what do you think about this?

The jacket that was posted is in stores already.


I like teal with yellow.  Another idea, do you have any plum shoes?
