Even though I dont need a new coat this year, I really would like one.. preferably something with a military influence but I also am ga-ga over hoods and faux fur. I think this it is a pretty perfect coat for me, would you agree?
I have a black dress coat, a brown leather coat and light tan leather coat. That said, I am slightly afraid of white outerwear in the winter. Although I like the look. Some days I feel like Pigpen with the cloud of dirt chasing after me :)
Should I get this? Has anyone seen it in person? Does Free People run TTS? Is is $228, not bad right?
i like the winter white. i think the color makes it stand out more than it does in black. also winter white coats aren't that hard to take care of as long as it's not your everyday coat. i have a cream cord coat that doesn't show any visible signs of wear/dirt and i've had it for two seasons.
I'm not crazy about the black one. I do like the white one though. You mentioned you already have a black coat and a couple of leather ones. Be different and get the white one, just don't wear it every day, like honey said. White/cream winter coats are so beautiful and you'll stand out b/c everyone's wearing black. Just my 2 cents!
Love it in the winter white! I think the details kind of get lost on the black one. Maybe there is some kind of fabric protector spray that you could get to make it stain resistant, I know I've seen fabric spray before, just not sure if it is for wool.
I voted for white just because it is more unexpected, though I would have trouble keeping it clean(bit of a slob, would have coffee on it in no time). The votes are split 50/50!! How will you decide now? Flip a coin!!
I voted for the winter white. There's something that's so pretty and unexpected about a white/cream coat in winter. I like the white with the fur detailing too--the white makes the fur stand out a little bit more.
In that particular coat, the black doesn't really stand out. I like the winter white. The black version looks like an AE coat that I got for $60 on sale one year- I think you could find something cuter in black. The white looks right for that kind of cut- more snowbunny. When I think of a black coat- I think of sleek, modern, classic, or funky.
