OK, I thought of another one....we have Nordstrom Last Chance here. I am pretty sure it's the only one in the U.S. (even if it is technically part of a chain!) Last Chance is where all the Nordstrom returns go. They sell all designer denim for $30. Juicy jackets are usually $10-15, designer bags/wallets are like $50-100. My sister got a pair of Marc Jacobs (not M by MJ) shoes for $70 once. The downside is that since Nord's takes ANYTHING back, some of the stuff is damaged/dirty/mismarked. And nothing is grouped -- you have to dig through racks and racks of stuff before you find anything good.

I have gotten some great stuff there Halleybird, when I can stand going in there!  It's right by my house...You are absolutely right, we do live in chain store hell...

Lucky duck! That part of town has great shopping! I would go a lot more if it were near me, but it's hard to motivate myself to sit on freeways for 40 minutes when it's hit & miss!

*sigh* I MISS Last Chance. I used to shop it when it was waaaay out in Glendale, and it was more "hit" than "miss". It was never the same for me after they moved it, but I still found some great stuff there. I think Atlanta needs one now.

Honolulu's so deprived of good outlets & last call stuff.

Surprisingly enough, my three favorites are situated in a malll, just 1 mile from my home.

  • Shasa Emporium (awesome service w/great brands)

  • Riches (FABULOUS accessories--handbags & jewelry--kiosk)

  • 'Ohelo Road (great brands & awesome prices)

It's acutally a great little mall anchored w/a Macy's, Gap, BR, B&N, supermarket & 8-plex of theatres.  Found this little review online: http://www.frommers.com/destinations/oahu/S29801.html

HTH anyone visiting Honolulu.
