Just wanted to spread my good mood around! Here is why I'm happy today:



  • I'm meeting with an advisor about starting my second degree in Graphic Design & Studio Art today.  I'm planning to take at least two classes in the fall, so I'll be signing up for them as well.  I'm so excited. 
  • I had a great weekend. I spent it completely immersed in jewelry design and writing. 
  • I also broke out my Jessica Simpson CD's (I know, I'm a dork) and some Broadway CD's and just sang for hours (which made me remember how much I love and that it probably is my greatest, unused talent--not bragging, just making a statement--and I realized that I need to get back into it.  I can't tell you how much better I feel when I sing/perform.  So, I'm also going to discuss taking voice lesson again at this school and see what I can do to get back into performing.  No matter how crappy my job is or how little I get paid, if I can perform, I'll be okay.
  • I have a short workweek this week and I'm heading to the beach for the weekend.

good for you!  i'm glad you're having a good day, seems like you really need one lately.  it's awesome that you're going back to school...and i'm so jealous that you're a good singer.  i love to sing, but i'm horrid - so it's definitely a shame if you're good and not doing anything with it!

No kidding...you definitely deserve a great day!  And I, too, am jealous that you can sing well.  I love to sing--I sing all the time when I'm at home and when I'm in the car--and my husband can't stand it cuz I'm so bad!!!  Plus, it doesn't help that I'll just make up songs about random stuff (beer, and my love of beer, is the subject of many songs) and just make up songs that don't rhyme.  Or have a tune, for that matter.  It's truly awful.  I'm so jealous that you can sing, and sing well.


Hope your day continues to go well.  Off topic, but is that your dog in your avatar?  He/she is adorable!

Good for you for sure. i too am jealous that you can sing, but I'm more jealous that you are going to the beach!!!! Have a good week. I too am planning on a good week because my mom just left my house & now I can relax and not clean like a crazy person or feel guilty if I'm not preparing for visitors. That's what I've been doing non-stop for 3 weeks & didn't realize how nutty I had gotten about it until they left yesterday. Not being ugly, but I think you girls know what I mean.

don't know if i ever suggested this to you: but when i was in crappy jobs (and i have had two of them!) i used to perform at my local community theatre.  since i have professional training, i scored all the lead roles and felt awesome!  it was so much fun and i met a lot of fun people doing it!  you should give that a try if you have a theatre in the area...

Yeah, I think you had mentioned that before.  I have looked into that. There are a ton of theatres around here. I just have to make sure that I have time to do that and take classes and run a jewelry design business and write for websites! Crazy! Maybe I'll do something next summer.  I'll have to look into it further.
