If anyone else is looking for jeans, and having a hard time ...

On a whim I tried some jeans from Eddie Bauer - I know they aren't exactly known for being modern or fashion forward, but I wasn't being picky and I just wanted some damn jeans that fit.

Total, unexpected jackpot!  The fits are nice and modern, the washes are darker and don't have a ton of whiskering or extra fading, and they come in petite, reg, and tall lengths.  I have so much trouble finding jeans - typically the waist gapes and/or the thighs are too narrow or the butt to tight or the length is too long.  These are perfect on all accounts, surprisingly.  I ordered three different pairs, each in different style, and I actually having troble deciding which I should keep or if I should just keep them all.  I find them similar to the way BR jeans used to fit, before they went and changed everything last year.

I got modern fit straight leg and bootcut, and the curvy bootcut.  They aren't lowrise, but I don't find them high either (3 fingers below the belly button) and they are higher in the back than in the front.

Also, if you're interested, if you sign up for email you get a 15% off coupon, and if you order from the phone in the store you get free shipping (write down the item #s before you go).  I'm really happy with my new jeans, and hopefully someone else who's been having trouble finding some will be happy with them too!

FWIW, I sized down one size from the sizing charts (I'm  usually a 2 or a 4 in other brands and the 2 is perfect), and the fit is great.  They tend to stretch a bit with wear, so you want them a touch snug.

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!  I have jeans to wear again!

Yay, Elle! There's nothing like having a pair of great fitting jeans. I'm with you. I have jeans from Hudsons to Target. I don't care where they're from if they fit right.

Thanks for the rec and the detailed review Elle!  I will be heading to Eddie Bauer one day soon to check them out- I have the hardest time finding well fitting jeans with plain pockets and simple washes!! The last pair i found was norma kamali for walmart and im still kicking myself for not buying multiple pairs!

I LOVE eddie bauer jeans! I just discovered them a couple months ago and I already bought 3 pairs! If you have an eddie bauer outlet near you - you can usually find their jeans on sale for $20 or less.
