discount code!
Permalink Closed

If you opened your weekly stitch, you already know about the exclusive offer (great discount and cool stuff, huh?)  If you have no idea what I'm talking about, visit our home page and check out the weekly stitch, and while you're there, sign up to receive stylethread's weekly stitch and monthly issue.

I'm going to give you a little insider scoop... If you are not signed up to receive the weekly stitch and the monthly stylethread issue, it would be in your best interest to do so - there's some exclusive discounts in the very near future that you're going to LOVE! AND I'm not going to post about them in the forum either , so the only way you'll know is by signing up for our mailing list or regularly visiting the homepage

Trust me, it will be worth it...

Detroit,

I use a mac and every time I go to the homepage Internet Explorer immediately quits and I have to restart my computer. This happens on the mac I use at work, my mac at home and I also tried a mac at a coffee shop.

Can you somehow get me the weekly stitch without me signing up?
Otherwise, I have to wait until I can get to a friend's or something who has a pc.

Thanks!

hmmm... We'll look into that... I know Taru (dc) uses a Mac, and I don't think she's had any problems - but I'll pass it by her to see if she has any insight.

I don't know of any way to get to the stitch other than going direct to the stitch page... again we'll look into this and get back to you.

Hi girls - Here are a couple of thoguhts...

As far as the crashing mac, are you using IE every time? Thing is, IE for mac really sucks. Get yourself safari, girl! That said I have no trouble on my mac with either IE or safari. The home page does run some scripts (in order to show that little forum preview pane), but it's just a simple little snippet and shouldn't cause trouble on any recent browser, really... Huh. Anyone else?

As far as those of you not getting the stitch, the thing is, with direct email pieces, there is a pretty large number (like 30%) that never get through due to people's firewalls, spam filters, etc. Our mail goes through a 3rd party - we're not sending it from here. A company called emailbrain sends those and tracks them, and the graphics in the mail are actually hosted on their servers, like a web page. They are CAN SPAM compliant, but I know, for example, that they won't get through my firewall at work (even though I do receive from others). Anyone having this problem, please let us know your email so we can ensure you're on the list, and also see which email providers seem to be screening them out.

Hope all that helps!

Hey ladies - if you want to use the code in the stitch, it's working in the code field - enter it like you would any other code and the discount will be applied on the spot! Look at what I ordered for a total of only $66.65 including shipping! (yeah - guess who wrote the stitch this time )

I placed an order, and had a lot of problems.  First, the discount code never worked, then the confirmation page never loaded correctly, and then I never even received a confirmation e-mail.  So, I wrote a long e-mail explaining what happened, and letting them know that I was worried about either getting charged twice, or that my order didn't go through at all, and I have yet to hear back from them.

Very disappointing, especially considering I placed a pretty big order.  I guess I should try to call them, but I really don't have time to go through and explain everything once again.

Update:  Well, I called and talked to a very rude guy who basically confirmed that they didn't get my order, refused to take it over the phone, didn't even respond when I mentioned the e-mail I sent, and then pretty much hung up on me.

I really wanted the stuff I ordered though, so I placed the order again, and this time, the code worked, and I also got a confirmation e-mail, so it looks like everything will work out.  They definitely don't have very good customer service though, but I guess as long as nothing goes wrong, they have some pretty jewelry and great prices.  I got 25% off, and then another 20% with the stylethread20 code, so I was happy about that.

My mac does it too. I have to go directly to the "forums" page.

Aw, beachgirl, I am so sorry! That is too bad. We will be sure to let the site's owners know about the service you received. Hopefully it will not happen again, or to anyone else. Again, I am sorrry. I hope that the good deal you got and cute stuff makes up for it.

Hey Lisa (and killa), to help me to troubleshoot, does it happen if you go directly to any page besides the home page? For example, what happens if you click this link:

http://www.stylethread.com/features.html

If that works and you haven't been able to sign up for the newsletter, you can sign up on this page:

http://www.stylethread.com/contact/join_our_list.html

Until I figure out what's going on with the home page, and if the other pages work fine for you, our monthly and weekly emails provide direct links, which bypass the home page, to the latest goodies. Keep us posted!

~ Taru

Just wanted to add that I use a mac too and I never have trouble. I use Firefox - was having speed issues with Safari so we switched. Just FYI.
