Maybe your hair is not happy this length? :) I'm not sure what to say. My hair always acts crazier when it is shorter. It does as it pleases.

Do you want to grow it longer or keep it short? I think maybe you are at that in-between length, when you need to grow it two more inches or cut two more inches. Does that make sense?

What does your hairdresser suggest?

just by looking at your picture i think if your hair were about one inch longer and maybe a little bit of layers (not too much) but enough to give you some volume and texture- that cut would look super cute with your face shape and you may not have the "flipping out" issue that you are having now since there would be a little more weight to the hair.  plus tell your hair dresser you are having issues with it flipping out- they can cut it differently to help curb the problem!

I think that with that length hair having a deep side part with some hair swooping over your forehead would look cute.

It seems like your hair is fine & straight -- I feel your pain. This is probably not what you want to hear, but I don't think hair like ours can ever really be "wash & go."

My suggestions: grow it out a little longer (maybe 1/2 inch above collar bones), and grow your bangs out a little so you can sweep them to the sides. Maybe ask your hairdresser about very slight layers at the bottom so your hair has some movement. I got my hair cut like this, which is similar to the Nicole Richie cut and I really like it. Most of the time, I can just put volumizing gel in it and curl the ends under with a big curling iron -- takes like 10 minutes, tops. If I am really busy, I just put it up and leave the bangs down.

I'd also consider hair color or highlights, if you don't color it already.

Hi kaykay...I think the style you posted is really cute, but if your hair is anything like mine, you would have to "do" it every day. Nothing wrong with that, but you'd have to be willing to use a blow dryer and probably velcro rollers to achieve that look.
