I got a gift certificate to Nordstroms for my b-day, so I went and hit up the sale yesterday to get a start on fall staples (even if I hate to admit that summer will be ending soon!!). I also need your opinions on two things I have on hold, and which would work better for this fall (or which I'd get more use out of).

Of course, the things I actually bought aren't on the website. Well, I got two sweaters, a green one with a hoodie, and a pinkish brownish one that's hard to describe.

I like the second pants b/c they're the trouser style jeans, and I don't have any yet. But I haven't been able to try them on in my size yet b/c they're transfering them from another store. My friend REALLY liked the fit of the first pants, but I'm just not sure about the green, and I don't really like the other color.

If you don't have a pair of trouser jeans yet, I say go for the jeans.  I LOVE my trouser styled jeans and wear them with everything.  The style is so great for dressing up or down.  I definitely think you can wear the jeans a lot more than the first pair.
