*UPDATE! I Got Them!! * So Bummed - Salt Works Jeans
Permalink Closed

Well my Salt Works Orchard St. Genunie wash jeans finally got delivered by the post office today, and what do you know - they don't fit!  For some reason their size 27 is way smaller than my COH Ingrids in a 27.  Anyhow, I called Revolve Clothing (where I ordered them from) and just my luck - they are sold out of size 28, which is what I now need.  To make it worse, I cannot find the Orchard St. in Geniune anywhere in a size 28.  I'm so sad.  I love them, but they don't fit.  So now I have to return them   What do I do now?  I want them so bad, but don't know where to find them.  If anyone sees a size 28 anywhere, or has any suggestions, please let me know.

halleybird - i'm hoping maybe you can help me?

Oh, bummer! I was just about to suggest Playhouse Clothing, but I guess you already found them Never ordered from them, though.

Also, Nordstrom has them in stock -- maybe you could get them to pricematch? Here are some 20% codes for PC: JESSICASTYLE  or shop20 or 20off . HTH!

Did you see them on Nordstrom's website?  Are there any codes for Nordstrom?

I also found them on Anthro's website, but does Anthro ever have discount codes?

yep -- here they are: http://store.nordstrom.com/product/product_brandboutique.asp?styleid=2863270&boutique=jeans_for_her&category=2376776~2374327~2376057~2379941&dt=07%2D23%2D05&cm_ven=froogle&cm_cat=datafeed&cm_pla=bottoms%3Awomen%3Apant&cm_ite=salt%5Fworks%5F%27orchard%5Fstreet%27%5Fjeans%3A152995

I don't know of any codes, though. I would test those codes at Playhouse, and if you find one that works, take it to Nordstrom or call them and see if they will match the price.

I don't think I've ever seen an Anthro code except maybe free shipping around Christmas.

Thanks Halleybird.  I can either get them from Playhouse Clothing for $113 shipped - that jessicastyle code worked...or I can get them from Nordstrom for $130.. I have no experience w/Playhouse and returns are not free...I have experience w/Nordstorm and exchanges are free - should I take a risk w/Playhouse and get them a little cheaper - or go w/Nordstrom since I am familiar w/them but pay more money?

Halleybird - aren't the genuine wash the ones you said fit a little more tightly?  I can't believe a 27 didn't fit   I'm assuming I should be ok if I size up to a 28?

I would see if Nordstrom matches the $113 price first, but I'd probably go with them anyway. I do think the genuine wash is more snug; at least it is on me. I would think the 28 would be OK, as long as you liked the fit otherwise. Sorry I can't be more help.

Have you ever asked Nordstrom if they would do a price match?  Just curious what I call and say?  How do I prove Playhouseclothing.com's price?  They are technically the same amount, it's just they have that discount code.  Thanks - I feel like I'm totally pestering you!

it's OK...I am just waiting for my husband to finish dinner so it's not like I am doing anything anyway

I've never actually gotten a price match from Nordstrom, but I know a lot of people have. If you're going to call, just say that you found this item somewhere else, but you know Nordstrom price-matches & you'd rather give your business to them, etc. I would just give them the website and tell them what the code is & the final price. They'll verify the code by trying it or calling Playhouse themselves. I am fairly sure they price-match codes, but maybe someone else can say for sure. Good luck -- such drama with these jeans!

Thanks halleybird - Nordstrom wouldn't do a price match because it was a coupon code and not the actual price

I ended up getting them from Playhouse Clothing - cross your fingers for me.  They were just too much @ Nordstroms - $141 by the time I paid shipping and tax.  I saved about $30 at PC.

Singer 22 has them in-stock.  http://store.irissinger.com/sawojeorst.html  Don't forget to enter jessicacouture or toutie in the comment box for 10% off.

Also check out the South Beach wash http://www.daszign.com/cart/customer/product.php?productid=16992&cat=330&page=1  Priced well & I think you can use luckymag25 for 25% off until the 31st.  Not sure if it applies to sale items, but it's worth a shot.

Good luck.

So after all that drama w/the first pair of Salt Works Orchard St. jeans, I returned the size 27 to Revolve and got a size 28 from Playhouse Clothing.  They came today, and guess what??  They fit!  I finally have my jeans   And I love them.  The 28 fit perfect and I love the color, fit, and length.

A big thank you to halleybird for helping me find these and listening to me complain - LOL.
