yeah, i bought cowboy boots over a year ago, but returned them two days later cuz i just knew they weren't "realistic" for me aka i knew i wouldn't have the balls to wear them....so i bought these last year for casual wear:
the problem is that they don't hold up so well in the snow (i never have worn them in the snow). THOSE BOOTS ARE A GREAT ALTERNATIVE!! thanks for posting Tara. i probably won't spend more than $300, so $450 is a bit much, but i will keep my eyes out.

Yeah, I am a fan of the wedge heeled boots. I am still kicking myself because I fell in love with a pair of wedge boots in Germany last year. My b/f talked me out of them because they were "impractical". I regret it everyday.
And I am obsessed with boots right now. Which is strange b/c I live in LA and it is insanely hot right now - and will be insanely hot for the next 3 months. But I am obsessed with buying the perfect pair for the fall - and I am 100% obsessed with these......
**edited for typing errors made while passionately thinking about these boots

shopgirl82 your post intrigued me. i've been eyeing those boots for a while and seriously considering shelling out the dough. are you happy with them? my concern is that i actually want to wear them in the snow since they look cozy but don't want to ruin them. maybe i should just (gasp) get a pair of uggs. i need something for winter and have yet to find a pair that's both practical and somewhat stylish, or at least unobtrusive.

i would wear those when there was slush and not too high of snow, since there is a large wedge, i could step in about four inches of snow without the suede getting ruined. i practically lived in those in the fall and winter in chicago. i've never owned uggs, because i like more height, which is why i loved these. my other "go to" boot was a kitten toe black (i bought brown too) leather knee high boot that was comfortable enough to wear and walk a ton of chicago city blocks, and kept me warm in the snow. those were my everyday black (brown) boots, and i had a pair of knee high black (bought brown too) boots with a 4" heel that i would only wear when i wasn't walking a ton and there was no snow. that combo worked amazing for me last year. and i can wear all of them again this year since they are classic styles. HTH!
