are you going soon? keep in mind it will be over 100 every day so u'll want very light cool clothes for daytime. also nights dip into the 80's at the lowest so nothing too heavy for night either. BUT be prepared for the hotels which feel like freezers. it's such extremes, so keep a sweater w/ u, even if is seems ridiculous in the heat. vegas is VERY touristy, but has a lot of upscale stuff to do too, so depending upon what u will be up to will dictate ur clothing choice. bring comfy shoes for walking the strip. as hard as this will be, i would say leave the jeans at home. shorts, skirts, very light linen type pants, & tanks will be best. oh & be sure to bring a bathing suit for swimming in the hotel pool (they all have one, no matter where u stay). oh & have fun!!
I love Vegas! I've been there a few times and I've found that it's very casual during the day, but can get very dressed up at night, depending on where you go. Shorts or casual skirts, tank tops and flat sandals or flip flops would be fine during the day. OF course, I would spend most of my time during the day at the pool, so a few bathing suits are essential. At night, if you plan on going to lounge or club, I would say dress up. Alot. I wore dresses when I was in Vegas when we went out. You can also get away with nice jeans and a dressy top, but I figured, hey, I'm in Vegas, why not dress up?
It gets so hot during the day, but to me, it felt chilly at night. The heat is a dry heat, so there's less humidity. If you are coming from a very humid climate, you will probably be freezing at night. I was freezing there at night and I was also freezing in LA at night b/c I'm from PA and it's so humid here. Yes, 75-80 degrees at night with no humidity is freezing to me! I get cold at 70 degrees during the day with no humidity, but I'm a weirdo.
It gets hot, hot, hot during the day and it's chilly at night.
hehe, actually i would consider 80's quite warm, especially for night time temps!! starting in fall tho, night time temps get pretty frigid... sometimes into the 40's!! during summer tho i would steer clear of jeans or heavy clothes cuz u will be too hot. i totally agree that dresses will be best for going out clubbing & such.

Hehe...you got me before I edited my post. I just remember being freezing without any humidity when I was there and in LA, even if the temp was 80. I'm weird, though.
Please please please, for the love of God - bring comfy shoes. I brought what i considered my most "sensible" shoes & had blisters like crazy. Even if you think you won't walk much, you will. Just walking around in the hotel / casino where you stay is a lot of walking - on the last day I ended up wearing my husband's tennis shoes (ugly) with my cute outfit I brought! It was awful. So bring the most comfy shoes you can get your hands on please. I'll get off my soap box now

I absolutely agree. Vegas is lots of walking. If you plan to walk up and down the strip for site-seeing, definitely bring comfy shoes (ie--flat sandals, wedges might be okay, but they would probably hurt after a while).
