Banana Republic, originally - I would remove the leather strings from the pocket zippers. BIN from Canada, $180 plus $20 shipping, no returns.
#2
Timberland, $200 on sale, free shipping and returns, unsure about sizing but would likely order more than one and return extras.
Which of these do you like better? Neither? The deal is that I can get a leather jacket in the $200-ish range now, or wait 2 years until I'm out of school and get a more expensive jacket (like the Vince I wanted, but which may or may not be around then). I can keep looking for a less expensive option - there are always more fish in the sea! - or I can save every single penny of my shopping budget for 3 or 4 months and throw down for the Vince this fall.
Discuss.

Of the 2, I like the second one better. I like that the pockets aren't so pronounced (I have issues with boob pockets though.) I also hesitate to buy a fitted jacket that can't be returned if you haven't tried it on yet. The second option allows you to try on 2 sizes and return both if you don't like it.
But honestly, you seem to really want the Vince jacket. If it's that important to you, I would save up for it and try to purchase the Vince this Fall. You won't really be able to wear the jacket until then anyway, right?
In my experience, some things can be satisfied with a cheaper version of something that I want. But if it's a specific item that I really really REALLY want, I'm better off saving and buying the real thing. You'd be surprised how easy it is to not buy small things when you have a goal to buy something you love.
I think I like #2 best as well - no poufy boob pockets, and I like the color. But I wish it had the details on the arms like #1. Bah!
I like the Vince jacket so much because the quality is great, the leather is the color/texture I want, and I can get one that doesn't swim on me. Honestly if I could find that combination in vintage jacket that would be my number one option. But the likelihood of that is not so good! I want a forever-jacket, that I will need to will to someone, someday. Anyone have one of those laying around they'd like a new home for?!

I like both, prolly #2 better. I say get one now, wear it to death, then when u have more money, get a niver jacket. Leather jackets never go out of style and I think these are totally cute, but u will equally appreciate the more expensive one when u get it

ITA with this. Save for the Vince! You probably won't be as satisfied with a "second-best" choice.
ETA: I like #2.
