On my wishlist this spring was a new pair of white jeans. I know a lot of you aren't into them, but bear with me. I bought the white True Religion Joeys at bloomies late March but have not worn them because they were too big and my size was nowhere to be found. I recently found them in my size almost half off (96, from 172). I paid $130 for mine. Question is, should I return mine and order the right size or not get them at all now given that summer is almost over? Will TR Joeys be too 2005? They are not a true stark white, more like an off-white, which means I could wear them during fall if I want. My two other options are white sevens with silver crystals - which I originally posted as wanting for my trip to Miami that already passed - or the seven cropped dojos in white. I can get either pair for ~$60. I should mention the only pair of white denim I own are white bootcut classic sevens that I got four years ago but are still going strong. Or I could just skip the white jeans and get a dark pair of jeans for fall. But right now (miraculously) I can't think of any other denim I want, unless I find a skinny pair that fits well. TIA!

At this point in the season, I think I would wait for Fall Denim. You may be able to get a couple good months out of the white jeans now, but probably by next spring, you will see 8 new styles and/or colors that you may get even more wear out of. I would get Fall denim, just because Fall is fast approaching and you will be able to wear them for a longer period of time. PLUS, if you already have a pair of 4 year old white jeans that look still look great.. why bother?
I would go for the dojos or wait. I am not nuts about the contrast stitching on the TRs, if they're the ones I've seen, and I think the whole rhinestone movement is on its way out. I haven't seen the white dojos, but I adore dojos no matter what.
I can't remember -- did you ever get Scorpions?

These are it - but they're NOT skin tight on me. I still kind of like them... hmm.
I got scorpions last fall in the dark wash (dark trick?) and lighter-wash roths earlier this year, so I'm done with those for now... I have TR dark wash and TR patchwork, etc. etc. etc. Then I got the Antiks... I can't believe I'm about to say this but I just might be denimed out for now!

those are much better than the ones I saw, which were definitely ivory with sort of brown stitching. I still prefer a simpler look for white denim, I think.
You have a great denim collection already...I'd just wait. That way, the next time you see some you just have to get, you can buy them, guilt-free.

Hey Vanessa--I think you should get the TRs (and take your too big pr back) b/c you already have one pr of basic white jeans (your sevens), which I own too btw) and you can wear them into fall. I love white-ish jeans with a yummy cashmere sweater (like oloive green) and brown boots in the fall. hth some. sorry for the typos--my computer's messed up.
