Ebay Help
Permalink Closed

I just sold my first three items, and I need some help. I sent the buyers the invoice, but they haven't paid it yet. How long do people usually wait before they pay for the ebay item they bought? And also, this might be a really stupid quetion, but how do I find out the shipping information? Like their address.

I'm an ebay virgin, so be gentle! lol

Did you specify in your auction how long the customer has to pay?? Usually mine pay within three days because that is my rule. Also, after they pay you can go to the auction and click "view payment details" it has their shipping address.

Okay, as a newly de-virginized ebayer. You learn the hard way - or ask for help (as I did not).

If you set a timeline for payment, then they are to adhere to that. If not, you may report them to ebay after, of course, several tries to get them to pay. Email them again and remind them.

I have gotten my payments within 48 hours.  I think anywhere from 48 hours up til a week is a fair timeline.

thanks for the help!

Another question: should I have written directions for the buyers on the invoice? I didn't because I figured all you had to do was click a button and pay (that's how I payed when I bought something on ebay)

The next time I send an invoice, what do you guys suggest I write for the directions?

It's important to state when payment is due.  I give 7 days, just in case a payday is around the corner.  I also tell them Paypal only, so then there's no waiting for a money order.   I state these things in the auction and in the invoice.  When they pay with paypal, their address is on the payment.   I never need address before that, because there is no way I will put the stuff in a package before they pay!
