HELP! Happy Hour Attire
Permalink Closed

Hi Ladies,
Im going to NYC tomorrow to visit my best friend for her birthday &
celebrate her new job!
The trouble is that she wants me to attend her work happy-hour which will take place @ a nearby bar. (Friends/Family are invited...I wont be crashing :) ).
Im assuming everyone will be "dressed up" but she works in a casual office,
so now im at a total loss as to what to wear...PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Thats exactly what i was thinking at first. Nice & simple, but are jeans OK for work parties?

Dark Jeans in a current cut, skinny if you like 'em or trouser...

well, if it's a casual office, and it's a friday, then it's highly likely there will be others wearing jeans...  besides, you can pretty much dress how you want since you don't work with them smile

I would dress for the bar not the work-place. A pair of dark wash jeans, a cute top and heels. Something fun but not too reveling since you will be with your friend's new co-workers.

I agree w/the above - you could always add a BF blazer to the oufit Boots posted if you wanted to have a dressier option, and then just take it off if you need to adjust the dressed-up factor down a few notches.

Boots I love that outfit, esp. that bag!
Thanks for helping, my stress is relieved!
Its not often i go to random office parties. I just wasnt sure, & didnt want to be too underdressed!
I dont know how to post pictures, but i have a black blazer & graphic print black/white blouse that i can wear w/dark jeans & my fabulous new heels. I might have to go get a yellow clutch now though!

Yeah, I've been looking for a reasonablely  priced yellow clutch too (probably why I posted one for the outfit!)  If you find a cute one under $50, let me know!
