I found this listing during my house quest and LOVE it. No one else seems to think it's that great. Granted, there needs to be a few improvements, but nothing major. Here's the link to pictures and a virtual tour. Vote what you think about it. Maybe I've got bad taste or something........
Other than it being terribly neutral, which i would prefer to colors someone else picked, i think it's awesome. I'd like to see what the other people you are talking to think is nice. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
Are ya'll still looking at moving back to the Dallas area? Gosh I hope so - I could use a new shopping buddy!!!

What's not to like about the actual house? I think it is beautiful and looks roomy. Of course, there are going to be improvements/changes needed on any house. The only thing I might have a concern about is that the lot looks kinda small for the house, but it is hard to tell in the pictures.
Yes, the house is HUGE (like over 5000 s.f), and the lot is small. That's the biggest drawback to the place, because we're used to big yards! Oh, and I love that it's neutral since I repaint everything anyway. Plus it's like seeing a blank canvas!
This house is in Southlake, laken1. Are you close??????
Wow, that house is amazing. How could anyone not love it? Especially compared to what you'd get for your money here in California. Sigh...I wish I didn't love California so much.
I also think it looks very New England-y so it will go with all your fabulous decorations.
It's in TX!!!! Ugh, how I want to get away from the New England look!!!!!!! I love those big windows in the family room and how the balcony in the entry goes all the way around.

I'm in The Colony, which is between Lewisville & Frisco, so not SUPER close, but surely close enough to your favorite mall in the area!!
I swear, that is the thing I hate about the houses here - and it's everywhere in every price range, that there are these GORGEOUS houses on an itty bitty lot. I hate that, but that's what is here. It's really hard to find anything else. I like the neutral too - you know you are going to paint anyway to make it your own, I like that you can leave it until you are ready - like me, I have a baby blue room that really isn't a priority but I hate that blue every single time I open the door in there.

I agree that the neutral color scheme is boring and needs to be changed, but you'd do a fabulous job with it. You did a most amazing job with the house you're in now.
I think that house is gorgeous and perfect...it's the kind of house I'd have wanted to grow up in.
That's a beautiful home! I like homes with a lot that has a bit more trees, but that and the neutral colors can be easily changed! Nice that it has a pool too! I'm wishing I had one right about now...
OMG I was expecting something WAY smaller and shabbier. It is like huge!!! I have rarely ever been to houses that big, but maybe its because I am in California. But I love the open-ness of everything.
I'm not sure who is not liking that house. It is a very typical Southlake home, so I was wondering if people from Southlake werent liking it. Personally, I like it. This is the type house my parents have and very similar to the homes of most of my college/hs friends.

I'm in New England, too. I'm ready for a change of house style!
My mom and my hubby aren't totally loving the house. They think it's pretty, don't get me wrong, but my mom especially keeps picking it apart. So annoying......
laken1 - The Colony - how is that????? We may also look around Plano (but not in Plano). Any suggestions?

If you are looking at that house, you don't want to be here! LOL To be honest, I don't want to be here - I like it "ok" but I moved where my DH & his ex lived, so we are looking to move in the next year or so - right now we are looking at Lewisville, Plano, Carrolton because Lewisville & carrolton are close to work - his mom is in plano & we may buy her house....it's all a mess right now..... again, I like it ok, but if we go out to eat, we go elsewhere - the ambiance at the even yummy resaturants isn't cool. I hate to be snobby, but I'd rather go somewhere else- we are too close to cool stuff to hang here. The best stuff have here is Walmart (which i wouldn't trade), Cato, Big Lots, & Payless. Frisco is my favorite "normal everyday" kind of place to shop. We are close to lots, but again, forget about it! You wouldn't want to be here.
PM or email me if you want. When are ya'll planning to move?
