Vince sizing?
Permalink Closed

I have my eye in a Vince leather jacket, but I'm unsure about sizing.  According to their sizing chart they run pretty small, and while I'd assume that they'd run a little small I'm doubting that they run as small as they say (like many places these days, it seems).

Anyone have any insights to offer on their sizing?  TIA!

I have several sweaters from Vince and wear my normal size.  I've never noticed them running small.  Never bought a leather jacket from Vince though, so it's poosible it's different.

Hi Elle!
Vince leather jackets sizing DOES run small.
If you're Petite all over &/or have VERY small shoulders & a VERY small chest you should go ahead & order your regular size, otherwise i would recommend that you go 1 size up.
That said, my aunt has 2 leather jackets from them (one blazer, one cowlneck motorcycle style) & they are both beautiful and exceptional quality! You definately wont regret getting one that fits!

I'm afraid the XS I'm stalking would be too small - according to their size chart it would be, but I've not found size charts to be accurate at all.  I inquired about the actual garment measurements and according to those I think it would fit since it's really comparable to the couple jackets I already own that actually fit - coats are always too big for me (I'm only 5'2") but it could turn out to be cut really narrow in the arms or something like that, y'know?  I think I'd need a runs-smaller-than-average size, but I'm not exactly what you'd consider waif-ish ....

I guess I could always re-sell it, right?  Eek!

If youre only 5'2 & not broad/busty the XS may fit just fine.
I should have mentioned that my aunt & I are the same size (6) & the same height (5'7)
but i have slightly broader shoulders & a larger chest than her. Her jackets are both size medium M, and were WAY to tight around the chest/shoulders for me to wear. If you love it, and its a great deal, i'd say bite the bullet and buy it.

Good to know!  I usually take a size 2 and am 36-ish around the chest - I'll just wear the darn thing unzipped all the time if I must!  The actual shoulder to shoulder measurement for the XS is 15, which didn't seem unreasonably small to me (same as my other jackets).

Did you find the waist area alright though?  And the arm size?

Yes! The waist and arms seemed true to size.
