Shopchicago, I don't know if you'd be up for a trip to the 'burbs but I just came from E Street Denim in Highland Park and all the Salt Works are 50% off. They had all washes, but I didn't check sizes (as tempting as it was, I really don't need new jeans). You could probably call them and see if they have your size in one of the darker washes, if that's what you're really interested in. -- Edited by tri_sarah_tops at 18:03, 2005-07-20

Hmm as tempting as that sounds, especially the 50% off - it's like 25 miles from my house..maybe i'd just be better off w/the south beach jeans?  Ahh - decisions, decisions...I get very nervous about ordering jeans off the internet, because I don't know how they will fit or if they are long enough!

The inseam on mine is probably 33.5" on the genuine and 34" on the polished, so it's probably somewhere around there. The genuine and polished are the darker washes right (not super dark, but darker)??  I can't find those in my size anywhere

Polished are dark, but not SUPER dark -- sort of like COH pacific/7 NYD with less distressing. I love them, but I actually wear the genuine color more. They're a true medium wash -- a little lighter than this pic BrazenCanadian posted:

oh, and I am about 5'7"-5'7.5", but with long legs. I can wear my genuine ones with 2" heels, and I can wear up to about 2.5-3" heels with my polished ones. I double-checked the inseams for you -- it's 33.25" on the genuine wash, and 33.75" on the polished ones. Mine are a 26, so it's possible that a 27 or 28 might be longer, too.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I think the genuine wash is a tad bit smaller (though not enough to size down) than the polished wash, even though the fabric's the same.  HTH!

Thanks for all the info HB.  Have you seen the Aruba or South Beach wash IRL?  I just want to know if it's a nice color?  Sorry everyone - I know I'm being a pain!

No, I actually haven't. They look nice, though -- if I had to pick one, I'd probably get South Beach.

So I  just want to say that I'm the biggest airhead on earth!  I just looked at my COH's and I'm a size 27, which means...I have my pick of any of the colors - South Beach, Polished, or  Genuine - now I don't know which to get??

oooh, can't help you there, since I love all the washes. There is a difference in fit, though.

If you decide to get genuine, I would call revolveclothing & see if they'll match goclothing's price -- revolve has free shipping/returns & a 25% code, so you might be able to get them pretty cheap!

Actually w/the free shipping and $25% off code at Revolveclothing, they are only $2.50 more for the genuine, which is what I think I am going to get.  If I wear a size 27 in the Citizens Ingrids do you think I'll be ok w/a 27 in the genuine?  I know you said they are little smaller?  Thanks so much for your help HB - I feel so annoying!

LOL, it's not annoying -- I am glad that my useless denim knowledge is doing some good.

I wear a 26 in most brands of denim (don't own any COH, though) -- 7s, Levis, etc. I think I wore a 26 in COH when I tried them on, but I honestly don't remember. Anyway, the genuine are not exactly smaller, just sort of stretchier, so they are more formfitting. I think they fit better than my polished ones, and they don't lose their shape at all. I think you'll be OK with a 27 -- and if not, the returns are free!

You'd better report back & tell me how they work!

Halleybird - thank you SOOOO much for all of your help!  I ordered size 27 in Genuine from RevolveClothing.  It makes me feel better that I can return them for free if need be.  I'll let you know how they work out when I get them.  Thanks again
