Please help me find a denim pencil skirt. I have been looking for an office appropriate denim skirt for what feels like 800 years. I want to wear it to work, so it must be ~knee length and no holes. Also, I don't want any ruffles or strange trim. I would prefer a pencil skirt, but A-line would be ok too.
You may want to contact the Style Diary girl. She recently featured a nice dark denim pencil skirt as a daily fix, but I can't remember the information and I deleted the email. I'll look around and see if i can find it.
You and me both. I cannot find a dark denim pencil skirt to save my life. I did find a really cute one at Nordstroms by Juicy. It was just a bit too faded for me. Designer Michelle Siwy (http://www.siwydenim.com/bio.html) - she was featured in Lucky last month is supposed to come out with one that looks enticing.
You can e-mail her (as I did) to find out if there is anyone in your city that carries her brand.
Good Luck and please keep me informed if you do find one.
Sunshine girl - I know the juicy one you are talking about. I am considering just buying it because I have so many shirts I want to wear to work that would really only "go" with a denim skirt...but, I hate the wash too. I emailed the designer and hope that she can direct me to a store to check out her skirt! Thanks!
Christine - The jcrew one is perfect, except for the back pockets. I think they may be too high on the butt. I have a big ol' bottom, and I would need lower pockets to minimize my......*ahem* assets....but I will try it on IRL!
Sarah/Rocky - I like the kween one, but alas my bottom is too big to go w/out back pockets....
I guess in the meantime, my search continues.......
*Update*Sunshine girl - Michelle emailed me back already and attached a picture of the denim pencil skirt. From what I can see, it looks exactly like what I had in mind, but I think it may have a destroyed rip on the leg. Cannot see from picture exactly. She said it would be available in August - I am excited!!!
