I'm jumping on the eBay bandwagon & listing my first sale today. What is a reasonable amount to list for shipping? They only have a 1 1/2 inch heel. I think they weigh 1 pound at the most.
I just shipped a pair of heavy soled sandals for $4.55 (Priority Mail). I was sure they were less than a pound, but they weren't. I would ask $5 maybe?

Thanks Cricket, would you mind telling me if you shipped them in a box or a stuffed large envelope?
I know i'm too late, but be careful - i have lost $$ on shipping shoes enough times that I usually say $8.50 - but i usually ship them in their original box - if they are over a pound check UPS ground service - they are usually cheaper. Under a pound, though & in an envelope or small priority mail box, $4.95 should be enough.
I just hate it when I have to pay more than I charged for shipping!!!!!

If you plan on selling quite a few things on ebay you may want to invest in a digital scale meant for weighing packages. I bought one since I kept getting burned on shipping costs. I got it on ebay for cheap, like $12 which included shipping. Things way a lot more than you expect.
Then I also have a printed list (handy for quick viewing later) from USPS.com with zip code to zone conversion and priority mailing price chart. I then sometimes add an extra dollar to help make up for traveling gas, ebay fees, and paypal fees.
To save more money you can also order free shipping materials for Priority mailing from usps.com. Boxes, tyvek bags, tape, whatever is necessary. They deliver them free too! That saved me so much money on shipping materials!
I print postage from paypal. so when I get to the post office, all I have to do it drop it off. You can also arrange for them to pick up packages.
