what are your favorite beauty splurges?

Things that maybe you could get cheaper, but you don't care, and pony up the money anyway:

1) tend skin- $35, so pricey for something that makeupalley girls swear you can make yourself for $3, but I buy anyway because I don't care

2) Archipelago botanicals soy lotion milk- $26- such a nice light, natural smell and feels very good after a shower

3) Lollia Relax hand creme- $20- best and most moisturizing lotion i've ever found, my hands feel sooo soft after using

4) Kiehl's baby lip balm- $7.50- not exactly bank breaking, but becomes so when one needs about 2 tubes a month- best lip balm ever, but i'm trying to switch over to ganache for lips, which is a close second, yummier flavors, half the price, and lasts much longer

5) Philosophy Eggnog body wash- $16- mmmm i love eggnog

6) Philosophy Senorita margarita body scrub- $25- haven't bought this yet, but will when my cc clears- I love the margarita smell and need a new scrub, just tried this today

7) Phyto 9- $22 - so pricey, such a small bottle- but makes my hair feel healthy

8) Phytojoba shampoo- $20- too pricey for a shampoo, but makes my hair bouncy and fluffy, plus I don't shampoo everyday and alternate this with a cheaper shampoo, but I it.

I don't go for one product in particular, I just love to splurge on skin care products no matter what. I mean, you're going to have your skin for the rest of your life so you have to take care of it, right? It's a good investment. I buy lots of different kinds to find out what's the best for my skin type...I'm on the search for the perfect product constantly so I'm always buying new stuff. Right now I have a bunch of Avon, Lancome, and Neutrogena products.

As for hair, my hair is nasty curly, frizzy, and dry...so I love buying Intentive Moisturizing conditioners. Phyto makes one I love at $32.00, eek!

I also love buying makeup products. Again, I buy the cheap stuff because I love to experiment. If I'm going for an expensive brand I tend to buy it on eBay (unused of course) and it's usually lancome.

I'm addicted to all things beauty!

I always splurge on Cake Beauty lotions and body washes.  I love them all so much, especially the Stin Sugar hair/body powder and the Dessert's on Me lotion  I haven't used any of the scrubs yet but I can't wait to try them.

This isn't have must-have product but I've become addicted to the scent. It stay with you all day, but $38 for a conditioner is madness! Sheer madness!

Other things are:

  • Blisslabs foot patrol. I like it like no other.
  • A great foundation. I can't bother with a drugstore brand.

I am a sad individual.

I love my Shiseido way too much...that Pureness Moisturizing Gel-Creme that makes my skin happy is $29 for this puny 1 1/2 to 2 month supply! Madness!

I can't can't can't wear anything but Giorgio Armani Matte Silk Foundation and the Silk foundation powder. Ugh why must these things cost like $50 a pop?

Could you elaborate on what this product is? It sounds sooooo nice. Have you ever tried the Target one?

I personally LOVE Dior. I like the eyeshadows and especially the lip gloss. I also only use Aveda on my hair and philosophy on my body.

just the philosphy 3-in-1 in mimosa scent. It smells sooo good and if you use it to shampoo, the scent stays in your hair just the perfect amount- not overpowering at all, but FH can tell when I've used it and loves it. The Target one smells nice too and is ridiculously cheap (like $3 for a bottle 3 times the size), but I've never tired it.

how are the philosophy washes as a shampoo?  Do you use a separate conditioner?

Ugh you don't even want to know...

1. Dior Diorshow mascara. I know that I could go and buy Maybelline Great Lash or whatever, but I, of course, am addicted to the $23 mascara

2. Aveda Haircare (hairbrush, shampoo, conditioner, deep conditioner, styling prooducts) I just feel better using these products on my hair.

3. Laura Mercier Scrubs. Yes, these are so expensive (like $40) but I truly can feel the difference in quality of scrubs

4. Nars Blush and the Multiple. Yea, I could buy drugstore blush...but...I don't. And the multiple...well I dont see any direct competition at the drugstore, so it's ok

5. Dior Skincare. I have fallen in love with the younger line of skincare products they offer. I'm sure Neutrogena is similar, but...too late!

Thats all for right now...I'll post more when I think of it

I actually really like them as a shampoo, but yeah I use a separate conditioner. My hair is way too thick to not condition- it ends up a huge knotted mess when I don't!

  • Lanza healing color care shampoo and conditioner, $19 ea.

  • Chanel foundation and powder,

  • Dermologica daily microexfoliant, $45

  • DiorShow waterproof mascara, $25

  • Burts Bee's Coconut foot cream, $11ish. Not expensive, but feels fancy because of the tropical smell. I could never go back to another foot cream.

I love the shiseido products. I have The Skincare gentle cleaning lotion and the Bioperformance cream. I don't really wear makeup anymore, so I haven't bought that much lately. I did get a Keihl's tinted lip balm, but I don't know if I'd get it again.

I mostly splurge on my hair and I am a sucker for expensive lip gloss (just not Chanel- way too expensive, even for me)

1) I have a $22 bottle of Fresh Soda shampoo I use for clarifying. A little goes a long way so imo it's worth it. It smells heavenly, better than any shampoo I've tried.

2) I also love Stila lip glaze. I've tried drugstore brands, but I keep coming back to Stila for some reason.

I don't really use foundation, but if I did I wouldn't scrimp since to me a good foundation is worth the money.
