I think I'll get more replies (hopefully!) here so don't bash me if it's in the "wrong" section. Onto my question!
I'm going out of the country in two days and I was wondering what your favorite items were to bring onto an airplane? It's gonna be a long, long plane ride and since I'm in the 'let's stuff 50 people in one row' class, I want to make it as comfortable as possible. What are you favorite beauty stuff to bring? Food? Advice?
Thanks to a tip in one of the stylethread articles, I brought a pashmina on my last trip and it was a lifesaver. It was perfect for the ever-unpredictable airplane temps and I didn't have to use the icky airplane blankets.
As far as beauty care, obviously moisturizer, lip balm and drinking loads of water are musts, but I also love, love, love Avene face spray (it's available at some CVS stores). It instantly makes me feel refreshed, clean and hydrated- I've gotten a bunch of friends hooked on it! They even make handy little travel sizes of their spray. If you can't find it at a CVS near you, a google search should reveal some online retailers, but I'm sure the Evian spray or any other water spray works just as well! Check out their site for more info: http://www.aveneusa.com/consumers/soothe/every_day.asp
I also like to bring sensitive baby wipes (perfect for cleaning face, underarms- ick!, hands, etc.), my ipod and an eye mask (to help me totally zone out).
I bring tons of junk on the plane with me including:
-aspirin, Tylenol PM in case I want to sleep -moisturizer -toothbrush and toothpaste or Brush-Ups -face wipes -eyedrops -lip balm -gum -bottled water -snacks like mixed nuts, trail mix and a little bag of cookies
